When I was in my mid 50’s I took my young teen daughter to a Chemical Romance concert, Expecting not much, but as soon as they opened, I was a big fan. All my daughter talked about was this band. OMG. So a couple years ago, I’m 65 (always fan boy) and she’s saying oh my God dad you gotta read umbrella academy, on and on. Then show comes out on Netflix, and to finally appease her, I watched. Now I am big fan of his works. So talented and great thinker.

My favorite thing about the “comic book” Gerard way is he’s just as quirky, socially anxious, passionate and nerdy as I was when I started listening to my chemical romance as a kid. It’s very full circle and I have a lifetime of love for Gerard.

Wow, I would never have recognized him as the same guy from MCR! So weird to see him with just brown normal hair. I want to read his comics. Glad that he's happy and seems healthier now, and doing the comic book writing he loves. though of course I hope he writes more music too.
