How to Remove Background Noise in Meetings

In this step-by-step tutorial video, learn how to remove background noise in virtual meetings and while playing games. You can use this to eliminate background noise while both speaking and listening in Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, Webex, Discord, Slack, and other meeting products. Also, you can eliminate background noise while playing games. Sitting in a cafe, outside, or have loud kids? This eliminates all of those background sounds.
This video focuses on NVIDIA RTX Voice, which removes noise if you have a NVIDIA graphics card. I also look at Krisp, which works irrespective of your graphics card, and also removes background noise. Both work extremely well at removing background noise and sounds

Kevin! You have no idea how much it could help me! I have an important presentation coming up. Most of my calls these days are disturbed by our neighbour's dog barks. I don't have any noice cancelling headphones. Did not have much faith for sharp sounds like that. Just tested Krisp immediately after seeing this video. I can't even begin to hank you for this video! This will do wonders for my Podcast. I have to admit, even though I have a Nvidia GeForce GPU, the KRISP application did superbly better! When I ran the test with Audacity, nothing, absolutely NOTHING recorded except my voice. I left my AC and had a fan near the MIC running, and both were isolated from the recording. I am extremely happy...again, thank you!!!

Turns out I have an Intel UHD “graphics card.” Are there any noise reduction options with intel? Thanks Kevin, I’ve watched several of your videos which are extremely helpful. I’m a teacher who has been using Teams for the last two years. This year I’ve noticed that an update occurred over the summer and our recorded meeting videos do not automatically save to stream as they have in the past. I’m having trouble saving my video for class to post or finding them. I click on the video and it says it’s not available yet all my videos from last year are saved in stream. When I click the download video link it says it’s not available!! This is not just my problem but many in my organization said it’s a problem. These solutions appear to install a virtual microphone in the system. But to record sound, you still need to use a real physical microphone. If you have two or more physical microphones attached to the computer, how do these noise filtering solutions know which physical microphone to piggyback on?

Very nice video Kevin!! I am now using RTX Voice after watching this video, but there is one problem that I am facing: The noise supression works fine in both microphone and speaker configuration. But when I select my default speakers as Nvidia Voice ones from the windows settings then I am not able to adjust the volume. I can increase or decrease the volume but it has no effect, the volume remains unaffected and even if I mute the speakers then also the speakers continue to play at the same volume. The noise supression works very nicely but i cannot prefer it over the inability of adjusting the volume. When i select my original speakers from the windows setting then I am able to adjust the volume and it actually has an effect but then I don't get the noise supression. The microphone works fine with Nvidia Voice turned on selected from windows settings Please solve this problem 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

When playing music or a video, turn off Krisp / RTX Voice. That audio should already be clear and have no noise.

Thanks for this video, this is a brilliant bit of software. Perfect timing for me as I was looking to buy a silent keyboard to avoid the noisy typing on screen recordings but this is an even better solution and not that expensive. I was surprised at how well this works.

Nope. I don't have an Nvidia graphics card. I have an AMD Radeon Vega 8 Graphics Card instead. Never mind. I tried Krisp while watching this video. It worked really well except when I had it connected to my Blue Yetti it kept having this crackling sound. No matter what I did I couldn't remove it. So eventually I uninstalled it. Now I am not getting the crackling sound either. Do you know of any other system I can use to hopefully take my sound to the next level? I have already soundproofed my home office to the best of my ability and budget. It has done a pretty good job. Hopefully, It wasn't a waste of time or money soundproofing. My wife and son are away at the moment, so I guess the real test of my soundproofing is when they get back. Great video mate. How are you finding it being a fulltime KZbinr?

Kevin, your microphone (or something in your audio setup) emphasizes the lower octaves in your voice. Some folks like the extra bass, but it is not natural sounding. This is subjective. When it comes to audio recordings and reproduction, people's likes and dislikes will vary wildly. I prefer sound that does not sound processed; that sounds realistic. Your voice, albeit clear, does not sound genuine. You can tell that it is bass boosted. And great video!

Thanks for the feedback. It's likely the microphone. I have a Rode NT-USB and it does emphasize the bass more. At some point I might upgrade to the MKH 416, although I haven't yet wanted to spend that much on a mic 😂
