Gag is - Awkwafina didn't even grow up around Black people. That was misinfo that got circulated. She grew up in a white & Asian neighborhood in Queens. Also there's plenty of Asian folks (& other races) that do grow up around Black folk & do not use blaccent. Hell, Eminem ACTUALLY grew up with Black folk & he doesn't even play with that. Folks who grow up within/close to Black communities tend to have way more sense & respect around AAVE usage if they use it all.

I went to the Millennium Tour Concert in Atlanta and the crowd definitely went wild when Bow Wow came on stage. Although Omarion's statement may be correct about it being his show, Atlanta is Bow Wow's home and Atlanta definitely welcomed him home. Like y'all said, we went to the concert for nostalgia purposes. Unfortunately, it wasn't the space for new music and Omarion played a few new songs in which the crowd wasn't extremely receptive to. With all that being said, both performers were great and I would pay to see them again.
