I have been myopic since I was eight years old and I am now 41. Last year, I visited KPJ in Kuching, where they recommended ICL surgery as well. However i still lack the courage to proceed with it. Plus i love combat sports and im not sure this ICL is for that... I’m optimistic that in the near future, new technologies will emerge to effectively treat high myopia.

Hey, thanks for making this update! I got ICL done roughly 6 weeks ago. I see halos and rings around light sources, and yes it’s worse at night. My question is- when do you think they started “disappearing” for you? I don’t want to live with them forever haha

Hey there! Congrats on your ICL! Well.... The doctor told me that ring lights and halos will be there indefinitely because of light refraction in the lens in the eye....I would say maybe after a year it will be less obvious.... Depends on your eye condition!

Hi, I have an ICL surgery scheduled in two weeks, and I have a few questions I'd like to clarify. After the ICL procedure, is it safe to swim, rub our eyes, or if dust accidentally gets into the eyes? Will the eyes function normally afterward, or will they require special care on a long-term basis, such as wearing protective glasses all the time?

Hey there! I think my night vision was a tiny bit better with glasses at night, mostly because I didn't get the light halos or light rings.

I had the surgery abou 1 year ago and I see halos at night all the time. It's really annoying. I'm actually considering having them removed because I'm a night owl and I find it really disturbing.

Hey there! The doctor mentioned that it is the refraction of light as it enters my eye and into the lens, and back into my inner eye....so it will depend on my eye shape and its relation to the lens...

I really wanted to do the ICL because I drive a lot and especially at night and to be fair every review I’ve seen they say they see halo and starburst so to be fair it’s the not with me getting it especially if I drive a lot and I do night driving to what a shame really wanted to do the ICL guess I will stick to glasses and contact lenses.

Hai.. im just done my ICL last month. Left eye was completely good. But for my right eye, the lens is too small so it need to take out and replace for the larger lens. But they also cant guarantee it will suitable for my eye. So unlucky me :( anw, may i know where u do ur ICL? And with which doctor? Thanks for replying

Hey there...I think generally when it's dark things are not very clear so I would need some light to read.....I definitely can't read anything small with dim light 😅 generally the contrast is the same as wearing glasses.

Hey there! My floaters are still here (Sept 2024).... Luckily it's extremely minimal and not impacted that much by the ICL. It only is prominent when I look at light things, but other than that, quite unnoticeable.
