They just moved down from 11 to 14 and gained a 2nd rounder. I wonder if they’re going to package Skinner and a 2nd in a trade instead of a buyout. It doesn’t make sense to move down now w/o seeing who’s available at 11. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Perfect. Nothing like adding more draft picks instead of trading for grown men who can start helping this September. Great start Kevin “I must have the youngest team in the NHL” freaking Adams. But hey I’m keeping an open mind, I’m ready for the big trade that nets the Sabres even just one good quality veteran to help this season. After all Adams said he told every GM he’s open to anything. 😂😂 Sorry, I couldn’t keep a straight face after typing that last sentence.

@@WideTier He publicly said he wants a top 6 winger, a 3rd line C, and some hard to play against guys on lines 3 and 4. Can he follow through? Buying out a 30 goal scorer and adding draft picks is a confusing start for sure, but it’s still early.

@@grumpyscott17 That sounds great to me. But like I said, knowing Adams, I’ll settle for just ONE veteran NHL player via either trade or UFA signing that actually helps the Sabres make the playoffs under Ruff….just one, not on the current roster.

Adams said moving from 11 to 14 and acquiring 42 took weeks to do. Can someone interview other GMs on how long it takes them to start and finish a deal? I’m getting the feeling Adams’ deals fall through because the other GM gets tired of all internal discussions and waiting so they move onto someone else to make a similar trade.

In 2022, Adams signed a multi year contract with undisclosed information. If we miss the playoffs again I bet we are stuck with him till his contract is over, instead of buying him out

Why would a team’s GM come out and explicitly state his objectives before the draft and FA? “We are going to trade assets for an established NHLer, sign a guy in FA for a long contract, and draft XYZ player”

And wow, nothing like lining up his excuses the day before the draft for not making any deals or free agent signings by blurting out; “….and maybe they don’t want to live in Buffalo….” Sabres Nation to Kevin Adams: It’s your freaking job to convince them that Buffalo is the best place to live for at least 1 to 7 years!

Adams is not incompetent. We just have a fanbase that can’t see the bigger picture and comprehend what he’s saying with his plan, even though he literally explains everything point by point.

When will we in Buffalo have a GM again that actually has the ability to lead this team? Adams is impossible to root for because he has shown zero skills at the job. Pegula and Adams have destroyed this organization and beaten the fanbase into the ground. I literally yhink our only hope is Adams fired and Pegula selling. Neither of these people can win or even seem to care.
