So good to see you again, Kevy! I love my Henson razors. They have come out with their version 2 razors with some nice improvements to the v1 you are using here. As you said, it's a perfect daily razor. I haven't tried it with the likes of a Feather or a 7 o'clock Yellow. Glad you enjoyed using it, and may I say a huge 'Thank-you' for the incredible box of goodies I'm still getting over 🙏🏻 That should see me through 2023 😂

So, I am back watching you speak of getting ready for Christmas on New Year's Day Night...Typical Me! A. Happy New Year-Encore! B. Yes, I am getting ready for Christmas as I observe Old/Orthodox/Twelfth Night Christmas too. And since that occurs around Jan 6 or 7th..I haven't quite missed the bus. C. Equally, like the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade whose planning immediately begins on the Friday(one day after)Thanksgiving Day. I need to start planning now for Christmas 2023 because like the above; that's just how I roll... :D Shave Related: COINCIDENCE, I have one of the discontinued Henson AL 13 Medium in Red razors in Oct(I think)when it was announced that the color and design were discontinued but that there were a few left at various sellers. For once I didn't quibble and jumped on the deal. DOUBLE COINCIDENCE, I don't have that particular fragrance but I do have one Van Yulay soap and after shave. I can pretend to be you in my next shave... Well that's enough pestering you for a 2nd consecutive day..Besides, I might make this a Threepeat...

Sometimes I think Jim Henson designed that razor because not even Oscar could complain about. I use it with a conventional handle and love it. I can't think of any other razor I'm as comfortable using. And it's very effective. I use the ++ plate. So I'm glad your shave worked out. Thanks too for using Monica's soap. It sounds like a great product. Thanks, finally, for all this year's great shaves. And Happy Christmas to you and yours!

Is the ++ plate more aggressive? Kevy needed two touch up passes to get a close shave with the one he was using.

@@shave-a-thon3415 I think it works well. I sometimes use a trick for shaving under the chin, which is the hardest spot to shave. I loosen the cap a quarter turn or so to open the gap a bit. The blade control is so good to begin with that I have no trouble. But this isn’t on Henson’s recommendation and I wouldn’t advise it casually or fir the entire shave.

Nice shave Kevy. Stuff looks amazing. We had -3-10°C here and snow. Now, when Christmas coming closer, we have +10 degrees and sunny or rain. Snow melted away. Hope you and your wife has a great Christmas eve and holidays. All the best, Jens

A very soothing session today. I too love Van Yulay's soaps, and body products. Monica has the largest selection of scents than any other perfumer. I know for a fact she has offered emu, and Abyssinian oils in her shave soaps well before any other soap maker who claim that feature. Many assumed she had closed, but she has setup shop in Sweeny, Texas. The Henson surprised me. I've seen Jeffrey Smith use it a couple of months ago. He had a good experience as well. As for an aluminum razor, I'm really enjoying my Styletto; that I saw featured on your channel. Would you recommend one over the other? Thank you for posting! Great shave. The kids who could be watching your shave videos are probably the ones who just started growing facial hair and are wanting to learn how to cut that off. That’s what I’m thinking when you said that there may be kids watching your videos. I can’t wait for the live shave on Saturday if you do go ahead with it. Kevy🪒🪒 Struggling at first but eventually managed to tame the growth. This razor seems to be half the aggression of a DE89, doubt if I'd enjoy it but at least it's not another GSC razor. A perfect shave with a mild razor using my favorite blade. Like you, I enjoy and prefer mild razors. I do remember you doing a 3-pass shave with the Rockwell 6S (my favorite razor) using only the R1 plate. I use my Henson when I have a bit of skin irritation or blemishes. @@T-R.e.x I've also done a shave with the R1. It definitely takes 3 passes and pickups but I can get a decent shave. My usual shave is with the R4 plate though.

@@BartBuzz Yes Bart, the #4 is the best, especially for ATG passes. Gives some bite, but it's not aggressive. I like the #6 too.

@@T-R.e.x I only use the R6/R5 plate if I have 3-4 days of growth. The 6S is the smoothest and most comfortable safety razor I've used. The Henson is #2 but it's not as efficient.

Always wet shaved, due to work shaved every day. Now only every 2/4 days and wow DE is a revelation! Love your channel and I hope you have let Santa free from the shower as my kids will be disappointed otherwise !!!! :) Me too as I know he has some "products" under the tree for me too. I feel like I cannot cut myself with my mild Henson Razor. I also use it to shave my neck after a haircut for that reason. We have done two tours of Scotland ( we are from Toledo, Ohio) and one of our friends who helped us is Liz Gillespie and she lives in Dundee. Maybe we will get back there some day and get to meet you!
