My father would have liked them too. And he died aged 83 in 2004! I saw them live yesterday and the average audience age seemed to be maybe late 20s but with a scattering of people more my age (62) and I was chatting to a lady in her early 70s so the appeal is very wide I think. Quite remarkable.

I thought these guys were just another, off-the-shelf band, and initially dismissed them, but having listened to the album, I can confirm I am a convert. Some people are drawing parallels with other bands, Beach Boys, The Band etc. I can see what they're saying, but I think this sound is just completely different. It's a weird mix of styles with a kind of misdirection which keeps you on your toes. Class. I don't think they're going to massive, not that they're not good, but that the plebs that direct and shape musical fashions just won't get it. Shame on them.

This is just insane how these teenagers can have such a music maturity! Despite the fact that the songs are just incredibly well written they can also actually play them live like pros that would have decades of stage experience. Listening to "I wanna prove to you" over and over again, I still can't believe these guys were in their late teens composing and recording this. They already showed the world a fully matured musical style from the debut onwards. I love these guys equally to my other favs Beatles, Skyclad, The Byrds, Kula Shaker and the Who.
