The synth layers before the ending climax are absolute perfection. I'm totally gobsmacked by such sensitivity, musicality. This is a taste of heaven, guys ! That masterpiece should be shared all over the world !

I remember reading a quote from Olafur that it became somewhat boring making house music, and I get that in comparison to the more subtle palette of his other work. But there is an incredible power in how crossover Kiasmos is - the soul and emotion in this, the shifts in mood during this epic track ... it's like being hugged while you dance and swoon all at the same time. Of all the Kiasmos songs, 'Bent' has this phenomenal edge with the heaviness of the beats, the distortion on the synth sound and the elegance of the piano riff. It feels like everything in being alive all comes together in that mix.

This is moreso sound composition/sound engineering than it is DJing, but I agree - both are extremely skilled practices on the higher end of things

Hey, nice $3,000 Juno-60. I guess it's more impressive looking than if you came out with 2 iphones and did 100% of this same sound, because most, if not all, of it is coming out of that $125 Novation Launch Control.

lmao - my favorite part is when the strings sample is happening at the rousing finale and he's frantically doing that bullshit "i'm reaching for knobs but not actually moving them" like he's playing the notes.
