The new garage explosion is the only thing keeping pure rock n roll alive, here we have James Brown styled band, then w KK& Bbq you get doo wop, w Mark Sultan solo u get the white Otis Redding, w king and bloodshot bill u get Tandoori Nights Indian influenced psychedelics, sultan and bloodshot bill u have The Ding Dongs who knows how many more combos between these 3 guys, then u add Jay Reatard r.i.p. a class of his own but 100 mph punk rock n roll, the soft pack, Nobunny,Shannon and her clams/ Hunx and his punx u have the soundtrack from grease without the film or Travolta and much cooler the new garage explosion

First rock concert I ever went to was King Khan and the Shrines probably within a month or two of this recording and it's still probably the best concert I've ever been too. They really put on a hell of a show, so happy to see this and have those memories come back

I saw King Kahn and the Shrines in Phoenix, winter of 07 or 13. It was a shit year in a long line of shit depressing years in that part of the world. Everybody was hungry and homeless But some of us were fortunate enough to see KK and the S for one night. They must have played 3 and a half hours. It was like seeing The Ramones, James Brown, Springsteen, Prince and the Saints all at once. He'll of a show

Like a lot of comments I’ve seen, I agree that this band and these performers are underrated. Which can be said about a lot of bands from past decades. For instance, I’ve never heard of the band Poco (established in 1968) until a couple years ago and they’re amazing. They remind me of the Eagles/Creedence but with their own style.

A double bill of King Khan and the Shrines and Japanese garage funk rock band Scoobie Do would be impossibly great. I'd probably stroke out in the middle of a James Brown shuffle move. But damn I'd die kinda happy. But I don't believe in an afterlife so I'd also feel a flash of soul rivening regret, fear and existential despair, but hell, I feel that everyday in traffic. What a show that would be.
