I started listening to him around 2000- 2001, my gf made me a mix tape and I was blown away and first cd I got fevers and mirrors it had came out around that time. From the moment I heard him and his lyrics ,him/ bright eyes became my favorite band ever,I love everything he does, his lyrics are, songs are the soundtrack to my life. Checkout an old song by talons- my life as a broke ass conor oberst. If not already listened to it.

Trina turner you know that song is 10 years old, right? his writing at present seems to suggest he's in a much healthier place than he was at that time.
@flinchfu9 жыл бұрын
Matt Landon It depends on what you mean by "healthier place"... A chemical balance in his head isn't going to fix the world that he writes about.
@mattlandonmusic9 жыл бұрын
Flinch Fu He writes from his perspective. Subjectively, not objectively. The world he writes about hasn't changed. His perspective of it has. If his lyrics are any indication of his perspective (as they should be), then his perspective has become less cynical and despairing i.e. healthier. I meant a healthier headspace.
@flinchfu9 жыл бұрын
Matt Landon Yes, definitely, I see what you are saying, after listening to almost all of his newer stuff.
@chadstepanik61639 жыл бұрын
Matt Landon I agree. I think he's healthier mentally and physically. He looks good. I think he stopped doing blow and drinking so much. You can hear it in the music. It's happier, it's less angry. I saw him last month here in Boston and he killed it.
