I am a big fan of Nirvana, and Molly Lips & Son of a Gun are some of my favourites. I didnt hear the originals until much later, and they are brilliant. There is something pure about the Vasalines version. I am a fan now!

Right on, me too! This & Molly’s Lips were two of the first songs I ever learned, still play them all the time. It’s kinda amazing how they made something so great out of so little. Two or 3 chords, fairly simple lyrics, & probably the simplest drum pattern ever...but it’s pure genius. Also, her voice is just incredible. It fits their songs perfectly.

Sound great to me. Vocal C's age if kurt tried to sing his songs ten years later if he lived he wouldnt sound the same. I think due to the ciggerttes and heroin if he had lived his voice would of been shot in a few more years.
@wallyw19444 жыл бұрын
@@bellabear653 He was creative enough that I think he might sound even better with a shot voice.
@bellabear6534 жыл бұрын
@@wallyw1944 it would of been different but vocal wise we all age even the greats and this changes our range. But kurt was very talented and his gritty vocals well you likely have a point even more gravel in his vocals would of made them sound even better so I guess he may be a big exception to the rule. Even fucked off his face on heroin he was still better than most of the stuff that passes for music in this day. But that has a lot to do with his style of music and won't lend itself to every style. The vaselines are still great and it's normal for vocals to get older.
