I was BLESSED AND AM TRULY THANKFUL my beautiful and amazing wife was able to leave me an amazing a gorgeous little boy, she turned 31, our son turned 2 and not even 4 months after she passed liver failure....... Needed a new one and it wasn't in the cards for her not I the truth of the matter is she was, is, and always will b love of my life and I am thankful to have found it at such a young age, she was literally the 1st woman i had ever ""been"" with, she just turned 15, I was 16 almost 17 so yes this year Aug 19th wouldve made 19yrs so here's ro you baby, my yellow bird!!!!! I love you and miss u everyday, and Asa looks more and more like you everyday, he gives me looks sometimes where I'm all, yuuuup, that's ur mom riggt there, hey babe i see you!!!!!!!!Ill nevsr fprget when i first introduced her to Conor she said, u know, """just like the 1st time i heard you play babe, he gives me ""The feels"".............. Your comment gave me "the feels" thanks for sharing. I'm sorry about your loss it's a blessing to share the love of certain music with someone you love. I agree the first about the first two songs. I cover "Cleanse Song" too I think it's probably the most beautiful Bright Eyes song and one of the most meaningful to me. To see Mogis on mandolin is something special too. My older sister introduced me to bright eyes in 2002 (I was 12). She had a room mate who gave her a copy of fevers and mirrors. She didn’t love it, so she gave it to me, and I was hooked. LIFTED was already out at that point, but I hadn’t heard it yet. She gifted me the LP for my birthday a few years later, and I’ve been collecting records ever since.

THIS Non Grata 😍👍 LET’S SING (everyone!!) Getting dressed for a date Put on blue aftershave Wore a kilt like a Celt Hid the way that I felt Combat boots, fallen leaves West Village Halloween To a Bollywood song Taking shots 'til we're gone Unwelcome in the autumn Persona non grata I'm the last of the best I'm your thoughts in the swamp There's a playground of children In the shadows of buildings There's a line out the church Where your homelessness works Where the stain glass of crimson Meets Ezekiel's Visions Saw a valley of bones Where no man shall be saved And now you, you come to me asking that And now you, you come to me and you're asking that Oh, how can we reconcile? Left your innocence there In Tiananmen Square You were filled with despair Underfed and depressed Vacant lot where a prison stood God knows you never would Lie to yourself But you do every time Made a life of deception And passive aggression Going to scream when I sing Going to die in the rain Turn me on, you're a knockout Climb up on to my cloud Do your worst to me now Before I change my mind And now you, you want to be true to me once again And you want me to be true to you once again Oh yeah, you, you want to be true to me once again And you want me to be true to you once again

The first time shook Conor's hand I did it because he was able to survive the greatest musical performance I had ever witnessed in person. I believed in my heart he was going to commit suicide right in front of me like kurt cobain but right in front of my face. I had never seen such intensity in person before or since that night. For me when I shook his hand afterward it was a biblical level miracle I witnessed with all my senses the fifth being the touch. I could taste the moisture of sweat fuming earlier and smell the spirit and see a maniac and hear the tears.
