Conor's songwriting is as strong as always. This album has is so great! I am so excited (hopefully) to see them on tour this year towards the summer if things shape up. So great they ended this Tiny Desk with "Shell Games", very relevant song to what is going in the here and now. Great job :D

@French Frys lol ok. Its ARC Studios in omaha. Tons of big names and local bands record there. I literally have photos of me there and photos of Bright Eyes' gear in the hallway. Its not some $1000 a day studio. It's not that crazy of a flex as its a pretty affordable studio and that room there in is the engineering room of the "small" studio where we recorded. For a real record they probably use the A room which is much bigger (and more expensive). Even big artists in Omaha are pretty down to earth and my band is in no way big. It was just our dream to record our album there. But sure I'm lying lol.

A night with my best friend and his cousin, and a bowl of a oranges.. It meant so much more than a Bowl of Oranges, and now.. 15 years later.. it means so much more now. My friend went on to be a devout Christian, his cousin off to be married (I had a crush on her at the time) and me.. just a guy with a lot of problems, trying to understand myself. At the Bottom of Everything speaks to me so much, many days I just want to give up and join my relatives, but it makes me remember that the living ones will be at my funeral and they've been through too much of that, as have I.
