I loved Deathlok when I was a kid but if my memory serves me correctly he was from the future so it was difficult for Marvel to do crossovers unless they came up with a time travel storyline. Nice haul btw Jim. I have to give Whatnot a try.

Your copy of Showcase #95 was the 2nd appearance of the new Doom Patrol. Issue #94 was the first (1977). DC was doing 3-issue story arcs, and DP was up first in the revival of the title (#94-#96), which had been canceled with #93 in 1970.

Nice condition 80 page giants are usually quite expensive especially the batman issues although the dearest one i bought was the sgt rock issue. I had to buy maybe 8 80 pagers from the US because it's hard to get decent copies here in the UK at decent prices.. I probably got a great deal even with shipping. I managed to complete the full 80 page giant run 1-15 & 16 - 56 (think it was 56, that or 55).. Had them for about 2 years then I had to sell them as things started to go wrong & I couldn't afford to have a chunk of money stashed in comic form. I've not really collected since then but I now buy & sell. It's ok as long as I don't get emotional about them, not easy at times so I struggle to let certain things go but I get that " You WILL sell those books or you'll be cooking your own dinner from now on" look from my ever lovin' wife... Great videos so thank you for them, very informative and entertaining..... 'Nuff said

Spec at $50 a pop? Yikes. Love the old Batmans. I am reading the Batman newspaper dailies that came out in the late 60's. Batchap and Bobbin in London! And Batman is an official officer of the Gotham police force.

Rich Buckler's work on Deathlok is one of the high points in his long and illustrious career. The character's potential has never been fully realised by Marvel since unfortunately, with a lot of false starts in terms of miniseries and ongoing titles. Taylor Swift playing the Blonde Phantom is a great example of a rumour started by someone somewhere who has a lot of copies of Sensational She-Hulk #4 to sell and which, as the young people say, "gains traction" with comics fans in a case of wish fulfillment.
