Shit happens and a slab is a layer of protection to your multi thousand dollar comic from that shit. If you need to read a Spider Man 1 read it in an omnibus, so when your kid spills his apple juice it doesn’t fuck up your investment that’s more valuable than bullion.

The Echo trailer reminded me of Andor - Disney/Marvel "taking risks" with a low expectation title to vary from the standard approach to content creation to see how the audience would react. I'm not sure what to expect though given that so many are jaded to Disney/Marvel content generally. Either the word of mouth wins out, or we have another Andor - a series praised for delivering the sort of story the audience wants, but without the numbers to back it up and reinforce the feedback.

Interesting. My coworker only said to buy 9.8 grades but the value appreciation actually happens at the lower grades from an investment perspective. What about variant covers of more recent modern keys? I notice they can be a more affordable alternative than the cover A. I believe I saw an Ultimate Fall Out issue 4 at a 9.8 sell for $250 but it was one of its B-Z variant covers not the incentive variant which is selling for thousands of dollars.
