This song was written by Don Henley and Glenn Frey who were hanging out in the canyons of LA back in the 60s and 70s. Don and Glenn were trying to get their music heard but were not successful. Their friend, Linda, was recording albums and put this song on her album. It is because she did this that we got the Eagles. Linda had one of the most versatile voices of her generation. She sang "Oh Baby, baby" solo and with Smokey Robinson. She could tear your heart out with one word like on "Hurts so bad". She also sang big band songs and opera! I have long believed that Gabriel could do justice to her vocals! More Linda please!

The best ever. Not even close. Mariachi is really close to opera . She recorded two albums and killed it. She actually did opera for Pirates of Penzance. Plus the standards albums with Les Brown and her own unparalleled career.

Why does nobody ever do her studio version of this song? It’s always the same live video that everyone does. I don’t really like the way she sings this live. Studio sounds way nicer. I swear, reactors all just copy each other
