Casio is clearly superior here imo. The "warm" Yahama has a muddy low definition sound. That muddy warm pillow sound is appealing to people who has very bass heavy headphones or just never listens to music in decent hi fi headphones. I might be wrong about that but I wouldn't be surprised if that generally is the case. If one wants clear details and a more pronounced dynamic when playing, then the choice between these two must be the Casio. But in the end, who cares, whatever makes you happy I guess.

Saludos! Muy buen video!
@elnumeroprimo29004 жыл бұрын
Tienes el casio? Me interesa pero he escuchado que con el tiempo las teclas empiezan a hacer ruidos molestos y con el tiempo digo meses incluso semanas, el ruido es algo normal en pianos digitales pero me preocupa que pase tan rapido.

I preferred the Yamaha - the grand piano tones sounded more like a real piano to my ears and the other sounds were more lush, full, and pleasing. i guess it's just down to personal preference. Yamaha sounds more authentic, whereas Casio sounds more like the post-produced piano sound from a pop/rock song, The PX160 has this terribly unpleasant brittly high end.
@irodragon71846 жыл бұрын

jsprite123 No, the P45 has horrible EQ output and speakers I returned it for a CPG-700 and that had quality control issues so I ended up with a DGX-660, it’s okay but the Casio A.i.R. Sampling is better than anything Yamaha, until you hit the newer Clavinovas.

I seem to be alone in preferring the sound of the P-45. It sounds like you're playing an acoustic piano, whereas the Casio sounds much more processed and a little artificial. The Casio will cut through beautifully in a band mix but, as a home player, I find the warmth and smoothness of the Yamaha much more appealing.
@SecretZoolevel6 жыл бұрын

The Casio wins clearly, its sound is more defined and the Yamaha sounds more muddy because it lacks definition. This indicates that Casio's AiR chip processes sounds with a higher resolution.

My opinions on pianos concert grand- casio wins, I feel the casio is more clear cut and has better dynamic 2nd piano- yamaha wins, although the casio has 5 piano presets total so you'll probably find another of those you like better than the yamaha and modern piano preset he used for in this video. For example if you don't like the casio's bright sound, there's an option to turn it off or you can choose the mellow piano preset. Modern Piano has always been to bright for me anyway Electric Piano 1- a tie, they have only very small differences Electric Piano 2- Casio wins, I just like the way it sounds better Organ 1- I'm feeling the yamaha for this one Strings- Casio by far, I feel it has much more emotion In my opinion, casio px 160 is better. Also, it has more features and a wider range of dynamics and the casio has a higher polyphony. 128 notes vs the yamahas 64 notes . I went to the store today and tried both of these pianos. I tried the yamaha and disliked it but the casio felt so much better and sounded much better too. But the Yamaha has its strengths and is a great piano.

1. Casio has stellar piano sounds, beats the Yamaha's by a bit. Yamaha's Electric Pianos are unmatched. Hands down winner for both 1 and 2. 3. Organ was fairly similar, but Yamaha was heavier down low. Personal preference here. 4. Odd! Yamaha is more percussive, but that's not a drawback. Casio is more soft and gradual in tone. Overall, Yamaha for people who do more live pop or funk gigs. Casio would do it for more classical playing. (i.e Mozart, Beethoven.)
