Wish I had a nano control instead of nano control 2. The original had 9 faders and version 2 only 8, which makes it less useful for controlling draw bars.

Hi i setup my system keyboard mox 6 ,nano kontrol2 all connect to the laptop and 1 stereo cable goes to the mixer but still no sound please advise to do. Thanks

How do you map the mute and solo buttons to your controller? I'm using a Korg NanoKontrol 2 and can't figure out how to map the mute and solo buttons for the life of me.

Thanks for this, but I can't figure out how to make it work on my end. I have a Yamaha PSR-E453 hooked up to a Macbook Air running Mainstage 3 along with the Korg NanoKontrol 2. When I plug it in, I can still hear all the sounds of the keyboard (voices, rhythms, etc), even if I turn everything down using the NanoKontrol. May I ask if anyone has a suggestion?

Go in to the settings on your keyboard and turn "Local" to off

I just set the computer on a stand next to the keyboard when used live. I would imagine heat isn't a good thing for it.

I just bought the Korg Nano and Mainstage. I'm having trouble setting up the USB so Nano controls Mainstage then to the keyboard. Anyone have any advise?

Thanks for this video, great ideas, I've been doing all this without the Nano, tough to do on stage with the mouse, but making it, the Vortex Wireless Keytar is also an awesome addition, if you want to check it out. I love mine. God bless, Ps. 33:3

Is it better to plug into an audio interface instead and run from that into a DI box? I have a scarlett 6i6 and don't know if I should do that instead of using the headphone jack

Yes it is. It'll be better than the standard mac audio out. Use the Scarlett. It's a great interface.

thomasmatthewdexter yes we have - I quit running all my patches on the same set because of it. Now I use several sets with just 2-4 patches instead of the 7-8 all together like the video shows. I've heard that Mainstage is a CPU hog so I'm not sure how fast of a Macbook you'd need. I think mine is a 2010 MacBook 2.0gHz w/ 8 GB of memory.

If you have any macbook with atleast 4 to 8 gb of Ram, I think it should do the Job. Mainstage is $30 on the App Store. Thanks.
