With 10,000 patches only in Logic Pro X not counting on Omni and all these other plugins. You have enough to create for a lifetime. Chords are where it's at, progressions open the door to it all. Grooves are another story. Good work KC.

2 questions……in another video, you used the nano kontroller to control the stems/song sections in Ableton, going to different parts seamlessly. Will you provide a tutorial on how to set up live sessions for using the nano kontroller for stems? Also, are we able to go back and forth between using the nano kontroller for keyboard sounds and song stems seamlessly as well??
@prettysimplemusic2 жыл бұрын
Great question my bro! The Nano can be used is many ways. I think it can seamlessly be used “back and forth” from DAW to DAW, but not at the same time… I use it for Logic during my performance on keys, then I’ll use my other Nano for Ableton stems. But lately since I don’t play at a church or have a constant venue, I’d probably only use my computer keyboard to control stems in Ableton. The simple way to setup the Nano inside is Ableton is the “learn” feature (at the top). So by clicking each part of the screen, I’d sync it manually with each button & fader of my Ableton session.

Hey KC! Really like the video, you remind me of the John Mike's videos of him running sounds from iPads, iPhones with midi controllers, pretty neat. I do want to find out from you, do you sample these sounds to keep them for yourself (apart from sounding consistent), or is it to mitigate costs (just checking Sweetwater the Montage, Fantom, Stage 3, Kronos, K2700 are all at least $3000). I like this idea, but we attach certain feelings to keyboards and sounds (Power Grand on the Yamaha, and MKS-20/J-Pop on the Roland). Curious to hear your thoughts.

Depends on how you want to do it, but yes, but you would need to be running two DAWs (at least with this setup), one for running your sounds (Logic) and another running your tracks (Ableton for example), just make sure to extensively test, since there are now more points of failure.

@@Ade.OluwaA Really depends on what instruments you are running and the specs of your machine, for example, running Logic stock EPs vs running Keyscape EPs. Another "problem" so to speak would be the linear nature of Logic. If the tracks you run are really really really long loops, or songs you play through once, no problem, but if there's some repetition or you need to vamp, you might need to setup MIDI markers, or use the Live Loops feature, I mean it's possible just requires a bit of work, it might be easier to pull off in Ableton. As KC mentioned, test and make sure it works for you, otherwise one thing failing can demotivate you on stage.

With all your VST’s is it in one complete package you can buy autosound in one package or do you have to buy them individually

Thanks for the interest. Because we have musicians with different needs, you can mix and match the sounds into your own custom bundle. Sounds are all currently on sale. 💚

Thank you for the awesome video! PLEASE HELP: I have a simple digital piano setup in my living room (Kawai MP11se piano, microphone, Yamaha MG10xu mixer, Adam Audio A8H monitors/subwoofer and a Mac Studio). Since this is in my living room, I don't want a messy 4-5 keyboard setup so I'm planning on hooking up a small sound module for extra sounds. The nanoKontrol2 looks like a perfect addition to my setup but how do I use it with my sound modules instead of VSTs? For a DAW, I'm considering using (free) GarageBand unless you recommend something else. Thank you!

Yessir my bro! There are many USB keyboards that can be powered via the USB connection in the back of the keyboard. These two that are featured in this video both have that feature…. Much love 💚
