This is one of my all-time favourite drum machines. I've used it on a number of tracks. It seems to have a bit of a built-in groove. The fact that you can easily sync it your MIDI rig or even use it as a drum sound module makes it very usable. The electronic snare and clap sounds are my favourites I also really dig the congas and bongos. the best part about the DD-10 is it looks like a toy so you can pick one up for less than $15 or $20 at second-hand shops and flea-markets. I got mine at a garage sale in 2015 for $10.

Yeah! Thanks. It was once my favorite m/c which was popular in 90's. It's really a low cost option for digital music lovers.

your button 0 works just fine. it is used together with the hihat (pad7) to make an open hihat and functions as the pedal of the hihat. i thought the same thing when i bought mine and even took it apart only to discover that pad0 itself makes no sound by design.

Does pad 0 work on its own or conjunction with pad 7 and the foot pedal together?

Can you plug the dd10 into a amp or 4 track recorder?

Can you record a full drum track(say a two minute performance with different fills and rhythms)within this?

The drum sounds on the Yamaha DD-10 sound very similar to the Yamaha PSS-570's drums. As I already have a Yamaha PSS-470 maybe I might be better off buying a Yamaha DD-10 instead of a PSS-570 as it's smaller, seems to have more percussion sounds and it also has it's own preset rhythms.

I have one too. My hi hat button on the top left doesn't work either. Could this because there's no hi hat pedal connected? Thanks for the video.

Thanks for your comment! After someone else commented saying that there was nothing wrong with the button, it is like that by default as it is used together with the hihat (pad7) to make an open hihat and functions as the pedal of the hihat. Thanks for watching and hope this helps!

Nice tool but the samples sound very toyish.. isnt there a more realistic drumsound on this thing?

Well it is a drum machine from around 1988 so the sounds aren’t gonna sound realistic, but I still like the PCM drum sounds though, and it’s fun to mess around with, and it’s also fun to record your own rhythm patterns too

@@KeyboardKrazy49 I share your opinion about sound. There's really something inexplicably appealing about these 1980s sounds! And there is some magic in the devices of the 1980s that attracts people to study and collect them. My words are confirmed by the growing fashion for old devices among the new generation of musicians who want to use them in their home studios! This applies to all electronic music devices of the 1980s, not only drum machines, but also synthesizers, samplers, mixers, workstations, etc.

It's supposed to sound lofi because it's a consumer level drum machine from the late 1980s. I'm glad this drum machine exists as I have a Yamaha PSS-470 that I bought for my 30th birthday in 2018 but now I also want PCM drums like what the PSS-570 has so buying this drum machine would probably make more sense than buying the PSS-570 "just for it's drums" when this drum machine is based on those same samples.
