Finally someone uses the right term, enthusiast entry level, not calling it cheap or budget, when membrane keyboards start at under 10 bucks and mechanical at 20. It takes a bit of enthusiasm to look at keycaps that cost more than most keyboards and think, "wow, what a good price!" We need to stop it with calling them cheap or budget when most keyboards are under 50 bucks, and only north of that are those that are enthusiastic about the subject or has too much money to bother thinking about being frugal.

Interesting. It’s very similar to how people are able to shape their drum sound. Basically, drummers like to add lil pieces of material (like a pillow in the bass drum, or gaff tape and toilet paper on snare drums), to reduce the acceleration of the vibrations for both the drumhead and shell. This enables them to control the more unflattering overtones that natural to all drums. Been noticing this lately since I got into the keyboard hobby.

Hey, reminder from guy working with audio. Rotate your speakers so they will be pointing at you. if you can, put them higher so the membranes will be aiming at your ears. The higher the frequencies, the more directional they become, and less dampening is needed to remove them, so you are basically loosing a lot of data.
