I would say that the GMK clone has the best sound profile because it has the same kind of poppy sound that the real Gmk has, but it has a lower pitch. Real GMK may sound a little nicer in sound quality, but not that much of a difference there. Epbt and Mistel have the lowest pitch sound profile, but it is a worse type of sound in my opinion. GMK has the best sound quality, then comes the GMK clone, then comes epbt, and after that comes Mistel, because Mistel sounded just a tiny bit hollow. That may be because of the OEM profile. Fun fact: I have tried Cherry, OEM, and MT3 profile keycaps. My favorite for sound is OEM because it has the best sound quality of the keycaps I have tried, then is the Mt3 because of the lower-pitched sound. At last, comes Cherry because the set I have is just terribly high-pitched, but I think that is only the case for this set. The cherry profile set I have may sound like GMK in terms of how high-pitched it is. Conclusion: I think this was a very fun and nice video because you gave me the knowledge of how the different keycap types sound. The keyboard's sound is the most important aspect for me if we talk about keyboards!

Thanks for the input! I agree GMK does have a more poppy sound but as you said, the fake GMK does have the same pop. I prefer the epbt for the more creamy nature of the sound. I've only tried MDA and cherry and OEM profiles so I think I might buy some cheaper XDA/NP/MT3 sets just to see how I like it.

Thanks for your opinion. I just realized that I don't need to pay more money to buy REAL GMK, it'll be very enough & nice sound with the fake GMK with lower price.

I understand the moral reason for supporting the designers, but unfortunately, I'm not going to let myself fall into financial hardship just to support them. It makes no sense.Plus, GMK is overpriced, so why should I let the company profit from me to the point that it hurts my wallet. Also, I bought some keycaps from Aliexpress, dye sub and from GMK-Y and I really like them. If they lowered the prices, I'll consider supporting them fully. In my defense, I've bought 4 GMK sets and waiting for them. I think I've done enough supporting

The entire mech keeb hobby is overpriced for those who can barely afford a functional laptop. People always think the price of everything should come down to their level. If u think something is overpriced it simply means the product is not made for u; they have their target customers.

GMK is overpriced, takes forever to make 1 set, takes even longer to ship, and mostly cost $100+. $100+ for all the 3 cons I mentioned is not worth the money and patience. I'll gladly support clones

@@thegarfield6796 thats a very immature and ignorant way of thinking. If something else is out there that satisfy my needs better than gmk does, i dont care if its a "rip off", i will buy it. Firstly lets get a few things straight, gmk cap "designers" barely make much money in the first place, they also rip off other intellectual property ie anime colour ways so why the hypocrisy? They take a ludicrous amount of time to deliver on the product. Honestly i dont have the time to wait around 2 years just for moral ambiguity on a product thats not even worth half its value. Theres plenty of stiff competition out there and they refuse to evolve and grow in order to meet their demands for god knows what reason. Theres higher quality pbt caps out there that are much cheaper and more importantly, IN STOCK. Yes price is a problem, but the bigger issue is the ridiculous wait time and group buy format. They only hold their value because of the faux exclusivity gmk forces onto their customers. This is also ignoring the fact that keycap designs are 90% of the time just a few colours that a 5 year old can put together. Anyway, rant over. At the end of the day, do whatever the hell you want with your money, dont bash people for "piracy" because they were never going to buy the original in the first place.

I think that the GMK has better sounding quality than the rest of the keycaps because of the poppy sound they make, but I think they are too high pitched for me, so I would maybe go for the GMK clone or Mistel for sound. For sound: 1. GMK clone 2. Mistel, and tied GMK, and EPBT on 3rd. The thing is that I can't know how the sound really is because I need to be there in person to actually hear how the sound is. It is way different in person than on youtube!

I have tried the aftermarket but have had no luck. Thankfully I was able to snag a jelly epoch which also has that rich sound signature but damn I still long for that Vega lmao.

I agree, designers definitely deserve the credit they get but if the set is always flipping for double then what choice do poor people have. At the end of the day, it's all preference.
