While Gatheron switches are more on the quiet(er) side, there are few things to consider where the noise is coming from: 1) Low profile mechanical keyboards expose a good amount of that switch, allowing the noise of clicks and keycaps bottoming out to go out in the open (nothing around to prevent it 2) Keycaps being low profile add to the equation of noise, but also consider that keycaps are ABS which in my experience tend to sound little more clicky-clacky loud 3) Stock mechanical keyboards are stil products manufacturers still keep that cost to build in mind - therefore, modding the stock keyboard is almost a must if you want it silent, thocky, etc. Also, the testing sound of typing is way louder than the keyboard sounds in real life, so I would suggest next time dialing back on the mic volume (gain), so it does not amplify it too much.

I don't mind the noise at all, it's not bothersome and I always liked the sound of mechanical keyboards. I'm just gonna leave it stock. Also yeah you are right about the typing sound part. That part was recorded using my camera audio instead of my lavalier mic so didn't account for the rise in volume there!

The keycaps are PBT, not ABS.

This. The sound is way louder because of the mic. You can even hear the whirring in the background.

Wish you actually filmed the backlight in the dark... It's the biggest thing keeping me back from buying it. Otherwise very good video!

Don’t you piss off the issue that it doesn’t have proper lighting? I mean, the key caps are not shine-through…

Not a huge deal to me but yeah that's one of my biggest problems with the keyboard

The keycaps are shine-trough, at least the blue-ish caps of my ISO-UK Version are. Its more subtle than with the K1, though. It looks great and is very legible in the dark :)

@@time_and_again as soon as I had an American layout it was PBT and I had to buy it apart;(
