Keymod vs M-LOK vs Picatinny. Which one is better?

Picatinny. It's compatible, reliable and durable. The only inconvenience is that it's hard on your hands, but there are many solutions for that. Don't fix what isn't broken. 👍 (with airsoft guns it might be something different, since you don't have recoil and you don't shoot long distances, so with fun in mind there might be a better system for this usecase 😉)

on airsoft the difference for the same gun with picantinny vs m-lock can be 2.4 vs 3kg

I airsoft and prefer picatinny simply because it feels sturdier. I use a small foregrip as a half-grip half-handstop so I don't have problems with hand comfort at all, and I only need a few attachments so the weight isn't a problem for me.

Comment from 2024, US army is using URGI upper and the new rifle for UK ARMY is LA403. Both comes with M Lok. The fact is that, well designed M Lok rail is stronger than soldiers will ever need it to be while they still light. For long distance shooting, a floating barrel is what actually matter.

I use rubberbands, but those break easily. I'm a quad-rail person.

For my first airsoft rifle I went with picatinny and so far I like it, an M4 MK18 MOD1. It's sharp, sure but I use those rubber things you put into them which makes holding onto it very comfy so it's honestly a non issue, and there are lots of different covers to use.

That's the point. Don't fix what isn't broken, and picatinny is proven reliable and sturdy. Why not use it on airsoft, even if you don't need it's features to the fullest?

I wish everything would just use the 1913 rails. I'll deal with the extra omg 100 grams of weight with a full rail. Companies do offer a full rail but then charge more and you have to go out and get all these rails. Plus most accessories are made just for 1913 rails. So it's stupid not to just have a quad rail instead, but yet 99% of companies only ship uppers with mlock or keymod now, mainly mlock. It's stupid.

Pic is the easiest to hook things up, but if you have a cheap rail without eased edges, ouch.

Mlok may be "better", but keymod I find is FAR easier to actually attach. And in airsoft, the benefits mlok give you are negligable.

TRUTH! My first/primary gun is a keymod Avalon, putting accessories on was easy. Then on a later gun I had mlok and I got pissed off at how hard it was to put accessories on it.

If you guys think the picatinny is too big and bulky. There is always 11mm dovetail that will flow better with the receiver, for that old school cool. 😉

Keymod looks better. Mlok is more durable in theory and lighter than picatinny. Picatinny is solid as hell, but has more weight.

I would appreciate to see more vid's like this. But please can you make sure to record with less echo? Maybe in an other room or with other soundrecording devices? At some point it was realy hard to understand what you are saying especialy when speaking fast und mumbling a bit with the "uhmmm's" and "ehmmm's". But always M-LOK! :)

I use children’s craft glue & hope to attach accessories In all seriousness ide say picitany is wack sauce, Keymod and Mlock there’s literally no difference in purpose and function , it comes down to looks or what type of connections your accessories are. If you already have a keymod flashlight you might as well get a keymod rail system Both options should be available ...BOOM ... (blows the Novritsch Marketing Team’s brains ) Just like you offer multiple attachments for each platform , the rail system should be no different. My Tippmann right now use a licensed Daniel Defense Rail because it is sturdy and has no wobble. But i will change it to a M-Lok handguard from BCM which depends if i got the real steel version or the replica first.

M-lok is structurally more sound but my keymod rail has never failed me, it has never even gotten loose. I have a two picatini rails mounting a foregrip and a flashlight. And also two grip pannels. That stuff has never even wiggled on me. (I would prefear m-lok but hey)

Definitely Mlok keymod is not reliable, I had that scenario happen to me and smashed the flash light lens, but since then all my rifles have had mlok or just picatinny.
