This song went huge because Disturbed had stopped making music and had effectively broken up. Then with no warning - literally none - this song dropped. I remember being in the truck and the DJ saying "you won't believe what I just got handed - we didn't know this was coming. We didn't know Disturbed was back together, but we just got handed a single - let's check it out!" Then this song played.

Only because?. I bet because of this powerful message too because lot of us ppl do KNOW how it's true. Ignorant/lazy/dumb ppl still believing everything MSM is feeding them. (Omg, really) PROPAGANDA FOR THE EVIL AND THEIR PROFIT! I wish there was a REAL hand of God, killing the evil and the once whom are spreading propaganda for the evil for keeping their dumb heads on TV. Brrrrr. Hand of God, Dark Messiah............COME ASAP, wake up the sleepy, ignorant, lazy, dumb zombies.

A few days before this their website showed their mascot dead on a table. Then as days went by his foot would move, then his finger. Then one day he sat up on the table and this single dropped. INSANE.

Nice! Love me some Disturbed. Them, Avenged Sevenfold, and Slipknot took up quite a lot of time on my little $15 CD player as a kid growing up in the early 2000's. Happy you're getting to some more of their stuff, but you're missing out on like 5 albums worth of content with them! The Sickness, Indestructible, Ten Thousand Fists, Asylum, all good albums that nearly each song on them could be dissected! My fav's come from _The Sickness,_ like Stupify and their classic Down With the Sickness (which you did a vid on already,) but Asylum has some bangers that I stuck to for months on end. _Another Way To Die,_ and the title track are absolutely killer songs from them. _Indestructible_ has my favorite track from them, _Torn._ One of my favorite solos of all time there, it flows so nicely, and punches you in the face harder than most anything else! Thanks for the vid, Geebz, gonna go to work and them jam out to some Gojira that I'm getting back into later on! Keep on rocking!

Of all the reaction channels, I truly enjoy watching yours man. Doesn't feel like a plug, honestly feels like we're sitting beside ya and listening to your evaluations. Love when you explore the metal genre. If you ever get curious, check out a group called Skindred. Got several quality songs, 'We Want', 'Nobody', 'Rat Race', they even redid the old song 'Saturday'. Every one fun and awesome. But again, thanks for the work you put into these things, and always looking forward to when you venture into the metal/rock/if ever hip-hop genres. :) GREAT WORK!

A thing I like about Disturbed is that they usually have like a marching drum tempo in their songs. It always invokes visions of soldiers marching. And so songs like this and Land of Confusion and all of their strong message songs work really well. It's like an anthem that makes me want to run out into the street and march for change.
@nunyabiz76992 жыл бұрын
Its awesome to see you looking at this song. I am a HUGE disturbed fan. But I also know that its music. And especially the videos can make people feel uncomfortable. I'm pretty sure that is all intentional. The songs are often about pretty intense subject matter. So much so that a lot of people shy away from it or just paint the music as trying to hard. Truth is. They are songs that are ment to grab your attention and tell you a story or about an issue or make you really think. Most of their music. Even early stuff is about Addiction. Mental illness. World problems. Abuse. Trauma and this one about corruption. Its not SUPPOSE to be easy to watch and hear. As they said at one of the shows I was at. If you can hear it. See it and not feel something from it. Well we might be just to far gone then.

I love this song, and the video, despite working in local TV news for the past 28 years. Yeah the media lies on both sides but now it's more binary. left or right, no middle or gray area. Another song about TV is suicidal tendencies - subliminal "Flashing pictures on the screen . Shown too quickly to be seen. Doesn't register in the conscious mind. Propaganda of another kind. Danger! (Nightmare!) Doomsday! (Nightmare!) Murder! (Nightmare!) Nightmare! I love the rhythmic aspects of their riffs and overall approach. The overall sound ends up sounding like a well crafted radio track, but the extended bridge adds rock credibility for the hard-core crowd. Disturbed, for me falls into a very large category of bands I'd enjoy live (if they were playing with another band I like), but I'd never buy an album. Good stuff, but not in the same business as bands like TOOL, Pink Floyd, Blue Oyster Cult, whose albums I own and buy when available. Full transparency, I do not own a copy of 10,000 Days. Barely a TOOL album. Rich the Ancient Metal Beast
