KF51 PANTHER is Amusing Hobby kit in 1/35 scale (35A047). It's not Panther we all know, it's just coincidence of names and nothing more. Here it seems more like we have the latest version of Leopard 2, but that's not true either. This is a completely new 4th generation main battle tank using the latest technological solutions designed by Rheinmetall.

A very nice build you did there :) I am glad i wasn't the only "crazy" one to make a service version of the tank and not the show piece. I actually have seen one guy using the decals for the weapon station but for my taste it was too much work for something that is barely noticeable, i painted mine in Gunmetal grey, so it has the carbon look. The drive sprocket tips on the Leopard 2 don't really come in contact with the track, that's why only the flat surfaces of it are worn off. I think making the tips a little bit worn off wouldn't be wrong beause when the tank is driving there might be sand, rocks and so on which might damage the paint in that area.

My plan for this model will be clear in next episode for sure! And as you said decals for MG station is unnecessary IMO. And you right with the ends of drive sprockets. :) Thx for your comment mate! :)

i did my 2A7+ in dark grey and it looks evil.....lol................ i'll do this Panther in either 2A6 camo or dark grey........the pattern mask looks too complicated to attempt

@@malcolmmacdougall The masks are actually pretty easy to use since they are pre cut and there is a good instruction how to place them. Sadly they just added masks fro the small camo and not the big one so i had to cut my own masks and that took a while.

I like your style! You build like I do - the way you want... I do stray from color schemes, markings and such on most of my builds. I love the "A-Team" markings - seems better suited for this kit then the Leo 2...

That build is on my list and on my shelf but first I'm doing the hobby boss 1/16 T34/85 a real challenge because it was made for rc more filler used then I care for. Fill sand fill repeat 😅.

Model degreaser? Man...what a money grab for things. A sink with soapy water and a toothbrush works, or a clean microfiber rag with 90% rubbing alcohol, can't beat that drying time.

Yes, you are correct, IPA is the king and costs a fraction of the "specialized" product which, in this case is basic fast drying white spirit variant straight from your local hardware store. Additionally unlike IPA is this stuff is harmful when inhaled. Stick with IPA FTW!

On most models you don't even need degreaser anymore. I never use that on Tamiya or other model kits. On very old model kits maybe but not on the newer ones.
