Have you tried removing the breaded skin and putting it aside before putting the chicken in the rice cooker? Bake the skin separately (375 for about 10-15 minutes), and mixing it with the steamed rice/chicken mix? 👍

I put leftover Fried Chicken in my air fryer for about 10 mins and it's almost as good as new. you can also pop it in the oven if you don't have a air fryer.

Yeah, I use my convection oven whenever trying to make old fried foods nice and crispy. Things like fast food fried chicken retina a lot of fat and oil, so it just refries itself

I made curry chicken this way one time where I made the curry and precooked the chicken on the side, and threw it into the rice cooker with uncooked rice at the bottom. Fantastic method for cooking rice, similar to biryani in concept.

Make your own. Use self raising flour plus salt to get that crispy. I usually marinate the chicken in 1/4 cup Tabasco, 1 tsp cayenne, 1/4 cup water and 1tbsp Dijon mustard. Mix and marinate 1 hr or 5-6 hrs. Roll in flour and fry.

@@carols3517 if you add some cornstarch to the flour it's even more crispy and still crispy the next day. Just heat it in the oven if you want to. It's even good cold though. 💜

I love original KFC (actually have some here right now), and while not a lover of things too spicy, I do like Popeye's regular style when I want a crispier crust. If you want to reheat your fried chicken without refrying put it in your sandwich press. I put baking paper on the top so the chicken doesn’t get caught in the grooves on the lid.

1:24 PUT THE CHICKEN INTO A PAN AND THROW IT INTO THE OVEN ON 300 OR 350 DEGREES FOR 10-20 MINS. That's how you get it back crispy. Want it more tender then bake the chicken in the oven on a lower temp longer and then turn it up to get that skin crispy.

Eleven....Eleven herbs and spices: Including enough MSG to take down a buffalo. It always makes me smile when people say they can't handle the MSG in Chinese food and say they are allergic. Then in the next breath they admit to loving KFC and have no problems with the food from there. Virtually everything on the KFC menu has MSG in it to one degree or another. Not hating....just saying.

For y'all that want that crunchy contrast and are willing to do a little extra work, take the skin from the chicken and refry it (takes like 5 minutes) and crumble it on top of the chicken rice when it's done. It's so GOOD!

When you say 2.5 cups of rice, do you mean the rice cooker cups (which are around 3/4 of a cup) or standard imperial cups? Regardless I got some leftover fried chicken that I'm putting to task on these recipes. Thanks Mikey!

The ratios given were way off for my rice cooker, but made it work. Love it. MUST ADD (a little bit) THIS! Sauté Ground pork, doubanjiang, garlic ginger etc. use a little as a topping, SO flavorful!!! Like Sichuan chorizo
