Great video!! And to make it even better I just bought one a little while ago for $3000 at 16. I love it so far especially with that reverse. Already almost gotten it stuck in the mud but it surprised me by getting out even with bald tires. Right now it’s stock but I don’t have the money for an exhaust and intake. When summer comes and I go back to work it’s going to be a lot faster! 10/10 buy and can’t wait to get it somewhere to really stretch its legs!
@ononewheel72 жыл бұрын
man 3k that's a good deal. what kind of condition was it in? The fci intake really wakes the kfx up its insane keep in mind youll need a programmer for that i recommend a pcv
@ballistic12532 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the info! It’s in pretty good condition, there is a few bolts missing on the nerf bars but that really it. Overall very good, guy selling it was 61 and needed the money to move. And for power mods I’m waiting till more money comes in the bank cause I don’t want to spend it all in case something breaks.

Great video John. Over the weekend I did the one bearing and reducer gear on the trx. I put a a EBC clutch kit in while I had it opened up. Hopefully the next one will a rekuluse.🤘
@ononewheel72 жыл бұрын
Thanks man. Nice is that something thats a wear item on the trx or did you have an issue? I have ran ebc clutch kits before they always held up well. The rekluse is a sweet setup for sure.
@jeremypowley64912 жыл бұрын
Sweet good to know about the EBC this is the first one I've ran. They are a wear item on the trx the starter will spin over but won't engage and turn the engine over . But you could still pop start it.
@ononewheel72 жыл бұрын
Oh that sucks. Is it a plastic gear or metal?
@jeremypowley64912 жыл бұрын
It's two metal gears pressed onto a shaft they will come loose with time. I could hold the back and turn the front with my hand. Picked a the kit up off eBay for $70 verses oem $$$$

I would love to have a reckuluse clutch when i get a race quad but I don't know how it'll do out on the race tracks. It would be handy as hell while trail riding though which I would probably do time to time.

Hey ononewheel. Im trying to learn somethings so have a question if you would please help. So on a yfz450r you have specs for valve clearance in your service manual and what you go by when adjusting your valves. So what about if you change out your stock cams and put different cams in. How do you go about adjusting your valves clearances now since there not stock and those specs will be different. Does hotcams give valve clearance specs for there cams to go by when adjusting valve clearances.
@ononewheel72 жыл бұрын
Valve specs will be the same for all makes of valves per the oem manual.

Great vid, we have an 08 kfx that will need a clutch soon. We bought it last year and mostly ride in the sand dunes, do you think this clutch would work well out here?

John I have a question , I have a 2020 YFZ with a IMS oversized tank . It's running out of fuel with a gal left. Is this common when your racing them ?
@ononewheel72 жыл бұрын
Never heard of that before. You using a quick fill or normal cap? For NYOA depending on the mileage of each track usually i have to stop for fuel if the track is 9 or more miles long i have ti stop. For gncc i always have to stop i found out the hard way one time and ran out at a gncc while leading the whole race 2017 wild boar vet b man that was a heart breaker.
@wittracing72davidwitt742 жыл бұрын
@@ononewheel7 Quick Fill. My son is running B 16-21 leaving on row 3 . Track was 7.5 to 8 miles . It started missing half way on the last lap. When I got home I fueled the bike and it would only take 2.5 gal. This is the second time it ran out with a gal left. Frist time I thought I vaper lock it so I changed how I had it vented but it still ran out. This last race my son pushed down on the quick fill during the last lap to make sure it was not vaper lock and it didn't help.
