I prefer road 3, as well. Even when coming from Karlstad and going to Åndalsnes. I'll have to turn back a bit at Hjerkinn, across Dovrefjell and down to Dombås, but it's still worth it.

Dovrefjell is really nice. At the roadcross in Hjerkinn try to find parking and visit Snøhetta. ❤️

@@KG_Norway_Truck_Driver I absolutely agree. I have visited the area several times, since they abandoned the military test site there. They used to test cluster bombs there before they became illegal. Some years ago, it was possible to drive all the way up to Snøheim, but I think that road is closed now. From Snøheim, it's not that far to climb Snøhetta.
