Impressive in many ways. Smooth, quiet, commanding view of the twisty, wet and super narrow road. This style of truck has almost disappeared from the USA and have been replaced by stretched frame tractors with massive sleeping cabins and long engine noses. Really incredible you did not meet any oncoming truck as you was crossing the bridge under construction. The fact that its also an automatic.. very cool indeed. I need to share with my truck driving friend.

It gives it an awesome "WWII bunker in a movie"/"bond villain hideout" look that I just cannot get over. Like the very stark contrast between the natural walls of the tunnel and the really nice, clean-looking road just gives it such a cool look.

@michaljanwarecki763 4 жыл бұрын
Most tunnels in Norway I know of have this rough finish. The tunnels are pretty expensive as is, there’s no point to paying a lot of money for smooth concrete walls only for good looks. It’s another thing when additional structural stability is needed and you have to build concrete walls, then they’ll be nice and smooth.

Wow that is an incredibly beautiful environment, there's even some kind of houseboat in the fjord! Would love to experience roads & scenery like that some day. Very impressive driving too, can see exactly what makes this guy a professional driver. Responds to situations quickly but so smoothly. I drive for work too but it's a bit easier to say the least - nipping around my small-ish UK city in my own car delivering food and stuff (Deliveroo and Ubereats). I still encounter some very narrow streets and awkward turns even for my own little hatchback, so have massive respect for those that drive bigger vehicles such as lorry drivers, who have to do all the training to safely control these massive rigs that would be incredibly dangerous in the hands of an ordinary person, and parcel couriers, who are expected to deliver 100+ parcels a day in their big vans, even if some recipients are out in the sticks down some narrow country lane!

Mad respect for truckers, people think its easy to drive a truck but its not just you have to worry about you're effectively a massive block of pain for someone if you hit them or crash or hell even damage the cargo. Takes a specific type of person to be a trucker thats for sure. Way easier to drive a car by far.

This is the thing that I really want in ETS2. Challenging roads that have really difficult spots where you really have to concentrate on not scraping on things or just avoid getting stuck in general. I think Promods had some places with really steep hills that you could get stuck on and stuff but I need more of that. Something like the challenges in the Scania Truck Driving simulator game that they made before ETS2
@s1_auds
@s1_auds Жыл бұрын
The thing is, you have to buy all the DLCs to then be able to use "ProMods" for roads like that, and I don't know how to install promods, the website, youtube tutorials all do not make sense.

That is impossible. There's no way you can watch every video Yt has to offer. Allow me to explain. Every single minute, roughly 500 hours of video is uploaded to KZbin. If you were to watch everything it has to offer, you'd be non stop watching for 10s of thousands of years, if not more. It is literally impossible for you, a human, to watch every video on KZbin. In this part of Norway you will have your fill with rainy and overcast weather. I drove this road a few years ago. It was raining, and had been raining for some days. The waterfall on this video had so much spray that it was almost impossible to see across to the other side. And I have seen a video from this very waterfall, where the spray was so heavy that you could only see a couple of meters in front of the car.
