Thank you for giving them this opportunity, I have written roughly about 30 full songs that I would eventually delete out of self doubt and self hate~ I would be abusive towards myself during those times, ridiculing the idea of my music ever being recorded, and beating myself self up for thinking I should write music period. On rare occasions I could “preform” in front of my two childhood friends, but couldn’t imagine trying for anyone else. If they get the same thoughts as I did, I hope this pushes them past that self doubt hurtle~ and they start putting themselves out there more🙏

Another way to convince someone to come out of the shell is help them create a performance persona. The artist themselves doesn't have to let the public in, they create an identity to act through. And sometimes this persona can include quirky clothes or accessories (maybe the persona always wears a cool covid mask, maybe they wear hoodies, maybe oversized sunglasses) so not only does that help get over the fear by creating a emotional front, but you can incorporate physical objects into being a tangible shield. And then sooner or later that front isn't there to protect, its a brand.

My mom and pops, friend after friend OD'ing geting hit by cars, shot, passing away, one after another, and I kind of lost my mind. Started going in and out of jail, rehabs. Almost gave up on life. You reminded me how much I missed and loved making music!!! Found your videos at the library! Your positively Is contagious!!!
