Bro i did the same stuff, i didnt speedrun him right off the bat. Took me weeks and hundreds of tries... I used to try this fight 10 times and check my winrate, try again 10 times and check the winrate again. After a certain point you learn and you kill him easily but the grind was there. Keep It up!!

I love the keyblade forms and all that, but man I miss drive forms. I wish they would have done away with the Attraction commands and found a way to incorporate the Drives again, like, certain keyblades trigger drive forms in their last form and consume a party member. I don’t know, almost seems redundant, but my nostalgia is needy

My common idea is for formschanges to literally just function like drive forms. The keyblades you have equipped would add their different transformations to a "forms" menu at the bottom of the command menu, and using them drains from the focus gauge.

Technically, the Keyblade Transformations are Drive forms. Like the Tangled Keyblade Transformation goes into a Blue Magic Form, similar to Wisdom Form, while the Frozen Keyblade goes into a green Speed Form, and the Kingdom Key and several Preorder/DLC Keyblades go into Second Form, which is like Limit Form from KH2FM, but with KH2 Sora instead of KH1 Sora. And then you have Ultima Weapon, which goes into a Final Form like Ultimate Form.

It's because of buffering time. Pausing allows your console to load the transformation so you can use It as soon as you unpause and continue the combo. If i didn't pause maybe the loading wouldve been too long and terra would've retaliated and kicked my ass. Here i was on PC with a Ps2 emulator but the difference in loading times between pausing or not pausing Is still noticeable. In kh2,5 for the PS4 you dont need to pause because the Better hardware loads the transformation Faster.

It's to let the game load the form. I was playing on an emulator on PC so the transformation takes some frame to complete, by pausing It gets loaded while paused; if i didnt pause lingering Will would retaliate before i could move and i would get fked

i havent played kh2 in a very long time, kzbin.info/www/bejne/bYTNh6ChdseFqK8 here i showed what i used in another speedrun and i Guess It wasnt much different apart from having every stat to 99 (but that doesnt really make a difference). This fight Is tough, more than anything try to find out a solution to his moves so you can parry/Dodge/reflect every attack. kzbin.info/www/bejne/fIaump2No8ete9k here the fight lasts a bit longer and more evasive moves are showed; see other guides, keep trying and your gonna get him!!!

In the First combo he revenged After 5 bar and a quarter as he usually does, i was in the ars arcanum s tough. Later he doesnt Revenge if you keep him Airborne with good timing.
