Because that’s islam! Islam teaches us that teachers / coaches hold the same respect that you would give to your parents because they help you grow and play a pivotal role in your upbringing. Ask any coach who has a Muslim student and they will let you know the amount of respect that they get from them is beyond belief. I'm pretty sure if it wasn't for Usman, he may have at least attempted it. Both love and respect each other a lot. Probably they have a long history helping each other out as both are under the same manager. Even if you look at the Gaethje match, Khabib did not do the ground and pound or any move that would hurt Gaethje even though he could easily do it. Yeah it sucks being both a badass and nice at the same time but we'll just have to accept he's a nice monster.
