I've been following The Ellis' for about 5 years now, and seeing how far they've come is amazing. The way they've held each other down throughout different careers, from the NFL to acting. I'm a newer married person (less than 2 years) and the best advice I've received from my pastor in premarital counseling was to make our marriage our own and don't let anyone including him nor our family define what marriage is to us. I seriously recommend that to all couples. Do what works for yall. Only your partners opinion matters.

Marriage is work and you work on the things you love. I love listening to the Ellis’s and they spoke their of truths and dropped a lot of gems. I have been married for 33 years my parents and my in-laws have been married for 53 years. Don't expect for him/her to be the same person you married 5, 10 15+ years ago because you are constantly evolving. Meaning, your personalities, and thought processes are going to change. Every marriage will endure valley experiences but couples have to be willing to work it out. Because the good days out way the bad days. Marriage is a commitment and a growth process.
