Actuators + echo paint

If you actuate blocks/platforms, most furniture items break. Plus blocks/platforms take up space, even if actuated. This provides more utility in that regard

Echo paint is post plantera, unless you wanna grab some from an end game world this is the best you get. And actuators don't turn invisible. They just let you walk through them and become a darker color.

If you want i bet echo coated actuated blocks surrounding the hanging thing would help keep it more “stable” so you dont place a block next to it, unless you block swap

I cant quite see the usage of this, since they are so delicate you cant place anything near them, including above them, so just use platforms instead

I think the problem with echo blocks falls into that you will still be able to interact with them, meaning you can run into them. The blocks can take up space. So it will leave you with less space to build, even if it were a little bit. Khaios also already explained why echo blocks and actuators aren't viable either in another reply.
