Terraria Painting for Beginners

You all have been asking for a painting beginner guide for some time now, and I’ve finally brought it! Unlike the last painting tutorial, this one covers all of the basics, and gives you tips and tricks to improve your builds with a little bit of paint!

I know this has nothing to do with the video, but I'm a fan of yours and wanna say I'm getting a surgery to fix my deformity, so I wanted to say thank you for the videos, and I loved every one of them and hope i live through the surgery to see more. Though for my channel, it will get lowered drastically due to me not being able to do most things if I survive the surgery, I hope you keep moving on and make new videos and keep building!

I'm not sure when I'll actually start using paint, but I do greatly appreciate the guide. I really must thank you for the which paint you use first part, last time I was going to paint something, that stopped me. A rather silly barrier to using paint, but it was effective.

Another really neat effect with illuminate paint is to use it to paint the walls in any under water setting, like a waterfall for example. If you have a pool of water leading in to the water fall, painting the rocky walls behind it really give it a clear water look, like you can see right through it.

Illuminant coating on stuff that’s already been painted a bright color can give the impression of UV-fluorescent pigments. I used this in my attempt at a laser tag arena inspired build, and while the build idea itself didn’t really end up getting anywhere, the illuminant coating idea worked really well for me. Although actually, now I want to go back and try combining that with negative paint…

Luminite paint is so useful for a pyramid. You can see the whole build if you paint ever block. Helps bring that pyramid shape.

You can make a custom lantern by using a granite elemental banner, paint it with illuminant paint, and put a diamond gemspark block behind the middle of it
