Keyboardist Dave Stewart has been involved in several stunning progrock acts (such as Bill Bruford's band). His contribution on this album is vital. Great musician.

Brilliant album. I haven´t ever understood why they did last only one album. Tons of musicianship here.

YES! About time this song sees the light of day on KZbin, I always thought Khan was one of rock's most underrated bands, Steve Hillage sure is a great guitarist.

The vocal melody from this song stuck in my head for years, but I couldn't remember what it was, and that freaked me out. I guessed it was either Mogul Thrash or some Dave Lawson fronted group (Samurai, Greenslade), but after listening to their whole catalogues a few times I still couldn't find it. Some time later I decided to revisit some Steve Hillage stuff for no particular reason, and finally found that gem again!

The same is here , but i guessed it was van der graaf generator, but after listing to their whole catalog i was sure it was some other band

I agree completely. Maybe, if they didn't break up that fast, they could've been big. I have the album, and I even think Hillage sounds better on Khan than on any Gong album. Love his bluesy licks along the recording.

I think that's Mr Spillage on vocals as well as guitar. He's my fav guitarist,ever since i 1st heard Fish Rising when it 1st came out in '75! Bar the unsurpassable Jimi Hendrix of course who Jack Bruce described on 1st seeing as "Not just a master guitarist, but more like a force of nature" ;)
@RickTransit4 жыл бұрын
It certainly is Hillage singing! Fish Rising contains a lot of the material originally written for the second Khan album (which never saw the light of day, of course).

I seriously can't believe that an obscure classic like this would get a stupid ad! Even many of the well known songs with a lot more views don't have these crappy ads.

Man since 75 when I 1st heard Fish Rising I followed Mr Spillage & he's been my fav living guitarist & to me the best we've ever had bar the Jimi Hendrix Experience. Noone even Mr Spillage beat Hendrix & Daevid Allen of Gong with Mr Spillage the guitar hero (" I don't want to be a guitar hero, I want to Be a guitar zero!" met Hendrix at the Marquee club & new him B4 he was famous :)

Do you know that you´ve missed the chance to provide a soft ending for your upload? Instead you have chosen the simple way, a hard ending. Why no fading out?
