Very helpful. So to review, if you can, try to draw three rays from your object to a convex lens: 1) one that is parallel to lens (which will refract through the lens to the opposite-side focal point), 2) through center of lens (which will continue straight without any refraction), & 3) (if possible) through the same-side focal point (which will become a parallel ray on the opposite side). So straightforward (no pun intended). Brilliant. Thanks.

I really wish you were my Physics teacher O__O The one currently (attempting) to teach me about lenses in school is horrible! DX

Thanks for posting this! it helps me a lot :D by the way for all the other viewers, change the play speed to 1.25 so it saves more time watching all the physics videos.

so does it mean that if i draw one line meeting the focal point on the left, and another meeting the focal point on the right, I would be able to find out where the focal point is?

the example before the last one where no image formed, if the other ray was on the optical axis, will the image be formed?

How do you know if it's going to bigger or smaller and closer or smaller? Is there a formula
@silviamayo29936 жыл бұрын
With that last example, if you drew a ray right through the middle of the lens, could it be extended back to that virtual point as well?

@moizaphenom what you learn in high school will all be repeated in university witin 1 semester. This is to make sure everyone has the same assumed knowledge through out their university course. so yes I was been taught about this in university, but in a really fast phase and mostly concentrate on deeper concept explaination which often confuse new learner like myself.

Great Video!! Just one thing, two rays that are parallel to eachother actually do converge....but at infinity. So techinically speaking the image would be formed at inifinity! :)
