As far as I know, the zona pellucida does not simply disappear. Instead the blastoceol cavity continues to expand through trophoblasts, which are epithelium, pumping fluid into the cavity. As the cavity grows, so does the tension the blastocyst imposes on the zona pellucida. Eventually the blastocyst pops through the zona pellucida (termed 'hatching'). Source: Medical School Embryology

So what I've learned here...is either you were hungry and had food on the mind when voicing over this, or embryos are just very food-like. We got mulberries, melons, pancakes, syrup, and then I was reminded a bit of a burger and a hot dog.

I wish you would have spoken about the trophoblast differentiating into the cytotrophoblast and the syncytiotrophoblast. But all the same, a very educating video. Thank you.

8:12 . It might be a bit deceiving since the hypoblast (Yellow) is the same color as the endoderm. The epiblast is responsible for all three germ layers

The funny thing about Embryology is you don't even know what you are learning until you are done with the classes and tests....weirdest class I ever had and the Professor was just as strange. You are literally sitting in class next to your friends and saying what the hell is this, and they say I don't know but I guess we are supposed to learn it.

The morula stage has 16 cells and the zona still on it... Also all three layers of the tri laminar disk are derived from the epiblast diving in at the primitive streak. The hypoblast is completely obliterated. That point is important but wasnt made.
