The first one you planted with the top of the leaves; I did the same and didn’t see results until 6 months later! So don’t give up people! I sprayed with water lightly every now and then and watered about 2 a month. As long as it’s not dried out keep caring for it! Now the second method with just the “stem” of the plant I just tried last night thanks to this video! I’ll try to update as well

Those ghost plants don’t only stretch because of the light, they are a naturally trailing plant. They naturally grow along the ground to spread. There are other types that stay in a rosette form and more compact, but this type will always want to trail and spill over containers. FYI!

@GenesisLaurel

I was going to say this!! That is a feature that I actually like about them and they look amazing on shelves, that is why I chose them. Depriving them of light a little bit can give them such a gorgeous colour too, a little more cool toned purple-ish. Plenty of sun makes them blush! 🥰

I don’t know why so many succulent videos have people saying to leave the succulent leaf out on the side. I always take the leaf and put it directly in the ground and it makes a new plant. When you have enough succulents like I do, I don’t bother with leaves, and I just cut a stem and put it in the ground. I live in Southern California, so maybe terrain allows for this method better, but succulents don’t need to be fussed over. I’ve grown new succulents in all kinds of soil: new soil, palm plant soil, sand, etc and they ALWAYS grow

Thank you very much for such informative video! While shopping for succulents, I found one stem on the floor. Decided to give him a chance for life, rather than be swept to the garbage. But I had know idea what to do with this poor dude. I just stack him in the pot. Now I see, that instead of leaving him too leggy, I can chop the plant in half, and most importantly I can save the other part as well. This fact really surprised me.

I have one succulent that I've been nurturing for over two years. I am emotionally attached to this little plant. I've named him Cadbury. Lol I need to do this for him, but I am TERRIFIED of hurting him and possibly killing him. I would be devastated if I lost him. I know it's a plant but he's the first plant I've ever gotten to live and he's been with me through a lot. The emotional attachment is real.

4:51 it does matter because inside a plant there is a sense of up and down. I think it’s a gradient of growth hormone so the plant does indeed know where the roots and where the leaves belong
