@@byron-ih2ge lol it was complicated, the buddhist and hindus came then build massive temple, then islams came and basically just collapse the remaining buddhist and hindu kingdom, then the christian arrive (basically most of western europe) and try to colonize it and only the dutch finish it after hundreds of years of conquest (yes i know my country Indonesia is colonized for 3 and a half centuries but still it finish prob late 19 century or early 20th century because some kingdoms is still exist until very end of 19th century like aceh and batak kingdom), then japan came and do "resource extraction" , then we declare our independence in 1945 and became recognised on the 50's and in 1962 we just conquer what rest of dutch colony (western new guinea) and on 1975 just annexed timor leste who got it independence back in 2002 this is basically Indonesian history without the complicated budhist and hindu kingdom + dutch colonialization effort Edit: changed some japannese things and added some on the collapse of buddhist and hindu kingdoms

@@lixobounce6588 Not really. The Japanese wanted to gear Indonesia for war, the Dutch wanted to make us a Colony. That's why the Dutch build roads and educate the upper class. They kept the KNIL mostly Dutch, and limited to keep stability. They gave education to an upper class so that one day, they could have a loyal ruling elite, with an efficient administration. The Japanese had no interest in making Indonesia a colony. They are gearing Indonesian resources for war. That's why thousands of people were conscripted for labor in the Romusha and were shipped to Burma. That's why they established PETA to prepare and arm Indonesian volunteers. Their encouragement of Indonesian Nationalist movements mainly to garner support instead of securing an actual independence. Of Course, both regime were not great, but to say that the Japanese are better, because they promised us Independence is rather misleading.

I've been to Indonesia in 2015 & 2018. I visited Indonesia with the aim of exploring and adventuring, not for vacation or honeymoon. However, I have not explored Indonesia 100% because it is vast and also very diverse. Each region in Indonesia has different tourist or natural attractions, as if entering a different dimension. It's hard to explain, the point is when you go to Indonesia, what you visit with other regions in Indonesia is definitely different. What made me so interested in Indonesia? The answer is nature, because nature in Indonesia has very clear differences in each region. Some even look strange, unique and absurd and there are lots of hidden places to explore. For me, Indonesia is very suitable to be used as a place for adventure, explorers and get unexpected experiences. My personal conclusion about Indonesia : Indonesia is like a very beautiful Queen, very graceful, very charming, very attractive, very stunning and very cool. However, keep in mind that although the Queen almost looks perfect, on the other hand the Queen also has a dangerous nature (Many natural disasters in Indonesia have been recorded internationally and even get the title of the most frequent and the most violent, Queen appears completely different from the others). When the Queen is asleep, the Queen looks extraordinary and fun to approach but if the Queen wakes up from her sleep, it is certain that there will be a sign of danger because the Queen is in a tantrum. You can see the damage caused by Queen in Indonesia by typing a search "Natural Disasters in Indonesia" or you can look on Wikipedia (There are many written lists of events). Note : Although Queen often tantrums when she wakes up from her sleep, this is what made me fall in love because of her very different figure. Be careful with the forces of nature because we don't know when and where the Queen rages. Because if the Queen has gone berserk then she doesn't know tourists or locals. I can only hope that the Queen doesn't run amok and doesn't harm locals or tourists. Amen. 🙏 Every tourist will have a different experience when visiting Queen, The Queen desire to go berserk is also an adventure, so I want to return to being beside the Queen because the Queen has everything (Super mega diversity) to gain experience and knowledge that is unusual for a tourist like me. Indonesia is more towards the category of tourist attractions for adventure and exploration. Not just for a honeymoon or relaxing because you will definitely lose something unique, strange, interesting and unreasonable in Indonesia as an experience and learning. It was the experience I felt. When you have explored several adventures in Indonesia be it volcanoes, waterfalls, rivers, lakes, jungles, caves and etc. (it's up to their own version, because there are too many to explore), although you will be tired but it is very satisfying and enjoyable. pleasant. of course get a different experience so that your experience can be told like mine. It should be noted that not all tourists who venture to Indonesia are successful, there are also those who fail miserably because of the act of the Queen who woke up from her sleep. The Queen of Mother Earth in Indonesia is so satisfying even though she often throws tantrums. Such is the explanation of the true definition of the word Queen because it has the will and strength according to its own will. Be grateful for those of you who have a place of adventure that is so vast and diverse in nature (not man-made) that foreign tourists like me too can have fun there to explore, learn, know and feel. Indonesia is a very suitable place for tourists who want to try a different trip or vacation. Traveling to Indonesia brings me joy, pleasure, satisfaction, anxiety, sadness, fatigue and confusion. All in one and that is what is called a very interesting and colorful journey, Indonesia does not only offer about buildings or nightclubs. Indonesia is much crazier with its unique and strange nature. I love Indonesia ❤️ (Mysterious Queen Land).

I love the meaning Indonesia's main islands. Sumatra, some said is derived from Swarnadwipa which means the Island of Gold as back then it's thought to have a large gold reserve when it's just weirdly wealthy because of its kingdom. Java is derived from Yavadwipa, which means Island of Seeds. It boasted it's specialty of ancient time- agriculture. Kalimantan, as seen in video, is derived from Kalimantan, which roughly means Burning Weather Island not precisely because it's hot and humid, but because when the weather changed to and the wind brought the hot air from Australia, the island is quite prone to have a forest fire, even from the ancient time. Sulawesi means Island of Iron, as from ancient time till now, this island boasted its iron mine and production. I seem to remember they used to have a lot of blacksmith there. Papua means "curly" in Malay, but according to another local language near the island, Papua means "The land beneath the setting sun"

Few weeks ago, indonesian government changed the status of separatist movement in indonesia's papua from "armed chriminal group" to "terorist group" due to their action that resemble terorism and spreading fear among papuan comunity Days before indonesian government decided to mark them as terorist group, the Free West Papua armed group killing unarmed civilians Two teachers, a highschool student and an ojek driver (public transportation using motorbike) and using several villages as hostage. Due to their hostile nature, villagers around puncak jaya regency that close to the hostage village decided not to go far from their house, because they are afraid that if they meet with those armed criminals, they may be killed. Because of this, the villagers are heavily dependend to government support and unable to cultivate their field due to the fear that FWP gave to them. After indonesian government declare military campaign to annihiliate the separatist group and liberate the villages, villagers then have enough confidence to cultivate their field and they celebrate it with comunal harvest since that was harvest time for some of the crops like watermelon, carrot and vegetables

The most unique thing in Indonesia is that if some countries have very specific skin colors, such as one specific skin color for that country, the difference is that Indonesia has all skin colors, even on each island has its own distinctive color, so sometimes it's like an Indonesian. we can distinguish people from which tribe or region. And in each region has its own language but our unitary language is Indonesian. Indonesia has 718 regional languages. I will share my experiences while in Indonesia 2010, 2015, 2018 (Queen Mother Nature's Journey). I'll be honest when I talk about Indonesia, so I apologize in advance. INDONESIA, at first I didn't know anything about Indonesia. In the end I got a news of a natural disaster in Indonesia, I immediately went to a large library in Europe. It turns out that there is a book that immortalizes the great natural disasters that occurred in Indonesia. The name Indonesia has been recorded and engraved long ago in Europe without us knowing it. I will talk about nature. The advantages of tourist attractions in Indonesia : 85% of tourist attractions in Indonesia are natural and 15% are man-made, even UNESCO labels Indonesia as a world heritage. Nature in Indonesia is very beautiful, charming, unique and different but also saves a lot of dark history written by the International. Talking about nature, Indonesia is second to none because of the world level. Disadvantages of tourist attractions in Indonesia : Indonesia is a country that is labeled as an area prone to natural disasters, not only that but also the most deadly and dangerous. There are so many dark history, natural disasters in Indonesia claimed a lot of victims in the world, most often occur and can also have an impact on other countries. It's all written in the history of the world. It is undeniable, the power of Nature in Indonesia is far more frightening, very strong and deadly. Not Chile, Japan, Philippines, USA, Italy, New Zealand, India, China, Russia and Canada. Because the largest number of victims of natural disasters in the world is Indonesia. The number of natural disasters in Indonesia from 2016 to 2020 was 17,032 events. That's a 5 year calculation, What if the total is from 1800s? Could be more. In fact, the most earthquakes in the world are not Japan or Chile, but Indonesia. Not only that, hurricanes, tsunamis, landslides, floods, storms, typhoons, earthquakes eruptions and others phenomenon Overall, Indonesia has been named a QUEEN MOTHER NATURE, if if it wakes up from its sleep then a big event will repeat itself. Nature in Indonesia cannot be used as a joke, because physically Indonesia's geography is included in "ABNORMAL". Nature in Indonesia has a very different level compared to other countries, because it is completely beyond human reason. Many historians, scientists, researchers and volunteers are involved in the "RAGE OF QUEEN MOTHER NATURE IN INDONESIA". The total points for natural attractions in Indonesia are 10/10. Queen Mother Nature brutal power level. >JAPAN : 10 (NORMAL QUEEN MOTHER NATURE). >PHILLIPINES : 10 (NORMAL QUEEN MOTHER NATURE). >CHILE : 10 (NORMAL QUEEN MOTHER NATURE). >NEW ZEALAND : 10 (NORMAL QUEEN MOTHER NATURE). >USA : 10 (NORMAL QUEEN MOTHER NATURE). >ITALY : 10 (NORMAL QUEEN MOTHER NATURE). >CANADA : 10 (NORMAL QUEEN MOTHER NATURE). >CHINA : 10 (NORMAL QUEEN MOTHER NATURE). >INDONESIA : ? (MODE QUEEN LEVEL MAX). Please find out how many total deaths are caused by major natural disasters in Indonesia, they occur too often, in fact many other countries have cooperated with Indonesia but have not been able to control natural disasters in Indonesia and are finally labeled as "ABNORMAL". Other countries also experience natural disasters but not as strong, as much and as brutal as nature in Indonesia. It is clear that the physical geography location of Indonesia, which is far apart, seems to be torn apart by nature. Previously, Indonesia territory was not shaped like that but was still connected to Southeast Asia and Australia. Even the governments of many countries have warned the Indonesian government to remain vigilant about natural disasters there, it's no joke because the dark history of the biggest natural disasters in Indonesia is written and documented by the International. "The more beautiful you look, the more dangerous you are". (Indonesia is the throne Queen Mother Nature).

The secret most of population outside of Java island coming from Java island themselves. Java has twice the population of the entire Russia federation so the government force the people to move out of Java to other island until the natives of the outer Island become minority.

@@iamgreat1234 Based on what I saw I'm not sure exactly if the Javanese are still the majority in some non-Javanese regions, even then I think them forgoing Javanese as an L1 language over Indonesian Malay may also be a key because it would be a "foreign langauge" as with everyone.

I think is the chance is really low making an Indonesia video and it got popular or pretty popular an not get someone from Indonesia that using text with Indonesia language. I think the reason they do this maybe because they understand English but they not good enough to speak or making correct English text or there are someone from Indonesia that don't know English using Indonesia subtitle if available or translate using Google translate

Maybe my friend living next door to Bogor Botanical Gardens can pull a few strings to get me back there soon. I could feed carrots to the kijang in his yard.

as an indonesian born, raised, and lived in east kalimantan/borneo, i only visit java (western to central parts) due to familial ties, and it's only a visit to some city because even java the 'smallest of big island' is huge.. and kalimantan/borneo is massive, beside the east, i only ever goes to the north and south kalimantan. and in east kalimantan itself, i mainly goes to the 'coastal' parts a.k.a the central and eastern parts of the province. because of no railways in kalimantan, traveling on road is tiring, traveling between city by car is ranging from 1 hour, to 3 hours, to 8 hours, to 10-12 hours. and that's only on low traffics condition

My country's soil is extremely fertile. I remember my late grandpa explaining to me just how fertile our land is by sticking a branch of cassava plant into the soil and wait for 1 week you'll see leaves will grow out of it and yes it did. Problem with Indonesia is that the population is centered into 1 island, Java Island. 141M of 270M lives in Java. That means nearly half whole population lives in a single island smaller than Japan. This why the gov is trying to build infrastructure and move the capital to Kalimantan, Borneo.
@mosesracal67583 жыл бұрын
There is a lot of friction across the islands, Indonesia is such a hotspot for resistance movements that there is actually quite a robust terrorist network around the islands that also allow other resistance fighters to train especially ones coming from the Philippines. The establishment of the security council in ASEAN is supposed to combat these threats by making it an intergovernmental effort but ASEAN is not that robust. Many of its mechanisms rely on "promises" or "goals". Thus the government in Jakarta spends much of the national budget on the military as its the only way it can wrestle control away from resistance fighters as well as to secure its claims on foreign territories especially in Papua. The entire reason why East Kalimantan was chosen as the new site for the nation's capital is to help reassert control in the provinces that are predominantly politically-distant from the power of the central government in Java. With its central location, its hoped to at least make the government rely less on its military and instead more on its bureaucracy.
