Oh how proud the parents of these two girls must be . I was introduced to the keyboard 79 years ago and my two sisters both sang opera as did I at 16 and our home was always filled with music, I miss it .I just wish I could just listen to Khatia without weeping tears of such joy!!!!! I guess the emotion of the arts never really leaves your heart even when the body parts do.

It is nice, that they can and dare sing, but their piano performance is exceptional, their singing is not, not even by a long stretch. To be fair though, they were not miced for singing either. Still, if you think that their singing were fantastic, then look into the many opera performance here on this platform just, for instance look up Duo Apollon. That will blow your mind in comparison, I guarantee you!

@@1corinthians15.1-4kjv Yes, considering that they are NOT professional singers, they did very well, and I enjoyed it very much. When I want opera, I listen to opera. But this did not put itself forward as opera. This was a wonderfully entertaining performance.

Wonders, extraordinary, sophisticated music that the two sisters provide us! Sublime love comes from within..., from a tender, affectionate and loving heart that warms us, moves us and enchants us. Schubert, Brahms, Liszt fantastic interpretation of works. Libertango by Astor Piazzolla surprised me and the beautiful song they transcended. Generous! Gratitude!

I was blessed enough to grow up in a family that would take me to quality musical events such as this and NOT rock concerts! I was very blessed to enjoy quality music from pianist to local school bands(concert and marching bands. We all went through school band ourselves from about fifth grade up through high school! I thank my parents and God for that!

I, too, have ADHD. 😜 AT AGE 81, I still have it. By some miracle, I learned to love classical music, and to listen to it for hours. These two ladies exemlplify the very best! How I wish I could focus long nough to memorize more than a few pages? 🤔

Wow. I saved this on my playlist right away. I don't like each and every one of Khatia's interpretations, but this one I love! Yes, tempi get a little temperamental in some of Brahms' Hungarian dances, but hey, that's Khatia! :-) I love the encore song too, mezzo & alto, really delightful. I wish we could hear Gvantsa as a soloist, but she seems to stand back, maybe of respect to her sister? Both obviously have a good relationship (not so common among siblings)... that's only a thought of mine, though. As a background, Khatia and Gvantsa had a difficult childhood due to the civil conflicts in post- Soviet Union Georgia when they grew up. Khatia made a promise to help people whenever she could. (Interview can be seen on YT, but is in German). She doesn't make much out of her generosity, but giving a "Benefizenz-Konzert" like this one is not uncommon. BTW, the kids behaved exemplary, this was not an easy repertoire to listen, and SOS-Kids Villages is an organization for kids in distress.

KZbin suggested Khatia to me and after a few videos I was not too decided. Comparing to the all-round perfection of Yuja (always this comparison, not sure why) I found some renditions of hers not too delicate in both key attack and rythm, but this Libertango was priceless. I too studied both piano and Opera and they are not singing like that, but they are totally not scared of opinions and they are making this beautiful and moving moment for children. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
