@Ariel Centeno, it's a skill called 'Second chance' which allows you to survive strong blows with 1 hp left and 'once more' which doesn't let your HP go below 1 when being hit with a combo.

I just beat him mit Ven on level 52, but with the thunder surge strategy...... after seeing your fight, I have to say that I'm very impressed by your strategy using shotlocks. Very good job kicking MF's ass^^

If only I saw this before I attempted to level Ven up higher to make him stronger. Your Terra method worked for me and I know Ven is easier since he has better dodges, faster reactions, more accurate finishers, and better reprisals. I think you mean counter rush. I was surprised you didn't use reversal hence reversal slash.

I don't know if you know this. Just a tip for those who don't, but I think you can counter that fiery x-slash that he does with ventus' reversal.

Also, I have some helpful tips for this fight. (As Ventus, of course.) There's a finisher called Heal Circle. You really should aim to get it before this fight, as it's attacks have a sort of parasite effect that heals you and can keep you alive when at one HP. I highly recommend using Thunder Dash commands to beat him, as they allow you to avoid certain death by escaping to a safe distance or attack him from afar.

Did it. Finish: Stratosphere. I switched the Curagas with Cures and added a potion. Level 82. Reversal, Reversal Slash, Homing Slide, jump, Revenge Raid, and Superglide added, I also added Damage Syphon and Combo F boost. Other than that, I was setup up similar to KHxOblivion. Thanks again. Now for Aqua. I've got a plan but you'll probably get your VIDEO up before I succeed with it. lol.

i had to hear that critically low health siren SO MANY TIMES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The game over screen and I became the greatest friends by the time I defeated him. It took me over 3 HOURS to beat this guy and I died over 200 times!!! Yeah, I counted!!! Thank GOD for the Aqua D-Link and the auto-life thing on it!!!!!

@thakidzz uhm... no... the ability is called Once More. It allows you to still stay alive when being hit with a string of combos. really can't beat the mysterious figure without it..

@KHxOblivion I figure since you don't need cure boost and a hit knocks you down to one hp, you don't need a stronger healer. Simpler commands do tend to make it easier. It something hearing a compliment from you. Not that you knew so I don't blame you but it seems a lot of people use dude but don't know the actual meaning. It actually means a horse's ingrown but hair. That makes sense since it sounds like doodie and there's the word dude ranch referring to the horses.

I think the best skill to kill this guy is sonic burst or whatever its called.. and ars arcanum.. and ofcourse a luittle angel... Faith.. faith attacks And heals. ars will damage your opponent severly and a lhuge chance to block all attacks.. sonic burst.. short.. high damage... good for keeping disytance

You got SOO lucky at 6:13, usually when he does that "pendulum" attack, he'd kill you next with his melee combo since you can't do anything after that attack. But, since he repeated the same thing, you were able to dodge it. Don't take this offensively, just stating what I saw. :x

he lost his keyblade when he used it to get rid of terra after Aqua fights Xehanort in the final episode i think so he had to resort to using the energy blades like Xemnas used but because this is young Xehanort they look different

Actually, this is Xehanort's younger self. It's the same person Riku fights near the end of his story in KH3D. He looks taller here because they used Saïx's body model since they didn't have one for him.

you know my only problem with mf is the fact that he can be cheesed using surges. other than that he is an awesome secret boss here and pretty cool boss in 3ds. though my question is which secret boss is more difficult? lingering sentiment or mysterious figure? though it is difficult to compare them since they have two different arena's and fighting styles.

I think MF is way harder. Even with surges I have not been able to beat him. Any tips even if its cheesing or cheap? I just want to win at this point.

dbsasuke Whatever character you play as, equip a high strength keyblade, like Void Gear, or Ultima Weapon. If you're playing on proud mode, quit while you're ahead, or spend time leveling up to 99. That's another thing. Even on beginner mode, I was level 59 - 60 when I first beat him. (Today, actually!). Whatever surge you use (I prefer fire surge, because using thunder surge will eventually put you in Ghost Drive Form, with the crappy dodge move.) So, use fire surge, and be sure to have Fire Boost equipped. With a high strength keyblade, at a high level, with Fire Boost, a good Fire Surge will take half of his bar (only on Beginner; with Proud mode, the damage you deal is halved, I think). Remove all prize abilities, EXP abilities, Combo/Air combo plus abilities, item boost, blizzard and thunder boost, but leave HP Boost, Cure Boost, Fire Boost, Fire-Dark Screen, Leaf Bracer, Second Chance/Once More, Attack/Magic Haste, Defender, Reload Boost, things of the sort. Read a detailed guide on MF's attacks, it'll make dodging them a LOT easier. Once you've done all of this, it's a matter of dodging and attacking while it's safe to do so.
