Oh God... the awful memories. Hats off to anybody with the timing to use actual commands to beat him lol. After about 100 tries I beat him by loading an entire deck with mega potions and rolling+basic attacks until he was dead. Killed my right thumb. :(

Don't you know there is a glitch to beat him within minutes? You use a clipping error behind a rock to defeat him.

That Fry Guy what level? I beat him almost all the way with basic hits and renewal blocks then finishers until I realized it was too many random numbers. I decided to go lvl 60 (11 levels up) and use the strike raid glitch.

Vanish is effective! You can use it to get away and heal using Break Time. Also, he can never catch Ventus when Supergliding. Faith is amazing, too. Get behind a rock when he's chasing you and use it.

I first beat this guy with 2 tornadoes. I then beat him with 4 Mine Shields. I then beat him by abusing shotlocks. I then realized I saved $13 on getting my head shaved.

One of the Most Badass Boss Fights I've ever seen... I've only beaten him with Aqua, normally, and I'm so ashamed to say that I used the AI Cheap Trick with Terra and Ventus. I beat him at Level 36 with that without getting hit even once... :( Just saying... I don't mean anything...

I beat him a few hours ago at level 64, granted I didn't have lots of abilities. Tricky bastard. Took twenty times (and plenty of frustation) to beat him. All the guides say "use tornado at this exact moment!" but he spams teleport EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. Good fight!

How to improve this fight: Make the counter deal less damage so your not constantly in fear of instant kill because you hit him Make him recover less health Lower his attack so he deals 1/4 of your health every hit. And there you have it! An incredibly frantic battle of "get them before they get you", instead of "how lucky are you?"

If you want the standard way, roll around until you see an opening and only use surges to attack (lightning surge / fire surge). Take a couple curagas, and your good to go. the main problem is learning his patterns to know when there actually is an opening, otherwise you can easily find yourself with one hp left.

I beat him at level 58 and I didn't use tornado or any type of mine. I only used attacks, stratosphere, and counter rush along with reversal slash. but now, i'm at level 69, so I beat him very, very, very, VERY easily considering I know the strategy. Easy ways to beat him: when he's running towards you, use mine square or mine shield, then use tornado ONLY when he's in the air. btw, that strategy is with Ven ONLY! Other way: when he's running towards you, get behind a rock, he'll keep running.

@sambar1992 Don't use Cure spells, that's what causes him to heal. Just use Potions to heal and he won't heal himself. On my run against VS with Aqua, I used the Seeker Mine command, and that REALLY helped me. It actually made that m****rf**ker bearable. (If you've read any of my below comments, you'll see how much I hate this boss fight.)

I know this is 2 years late, but you could've just went with regular Potions instead of Mega-Potions. Anything he does brings you to 1 HP, so it doesn't matter what kind of potions you use, and have x5 instead of x3 per slot. :P

During his running method, keep on using strike raid over and over, then eventually, you'll defeat him. btw, this method is with all three.

My strat for Vanitas Remnant on any character is to position behind a rock, lock on and just keep using strike raid.

I forget the name of the attack but if you use Ven's hurricane move where you sweep up the enemy in a directed hurricane you can beat Vanitas Sentiment in mere seconds. I've done it many times for the lol's.

MasterUmbreonCanoe I take a shit ton of risks during the secret bosses and I only use dodge roll when I really need it. I attack head on and use risky strats. It is a lot more fun then standing behind a wall and use the same command repeatedly.

If you wanna rush this boss (without pussy glitches) you can just Ars Arcanum on his back while he uses laser and he will just hit you at the end of the laser, tho the damage is much much more than aereal slam, at lvl 80 i can cut off half his hp in critical mode, same with terra with Ars Solum, even more damage (Terra Mechanics)
