‘Khon’ - the beautiful and mesmerizing masked dance drama of Thailand

Khon is among Thailand’s most significant performing arts. The Department of Cultural Promotion under the Ministry of Culture in 2009 declared Khon as the national Intangible Cultural Heritage.
An important style of performing dance and art dating from the Ayutthaya period, Khon has its own unique identity that incorporates different fields of the arts, literature, rituals, and crafts. It is also seen as portraying viewpoints, mottos, moral principles, and ethics that can be applied in daily life.
Traditionally performed in royal or princely courts and today on a wider scope in educational institutions, schools, villages, and other locations throughout Thailand, Khon has been passed down from generation to generation.

India is the mother of arts, culture, architecture ,rituals in this South East Asia via the Indian ancient maritime traders, high priests and it could be rooted to the Funan empire ,an ancient Indianized state , in this region since the first to sixth century CE, magnificent right?😊 your culture in this region was recorded by 2 Chinese envoys,Kang Tai and Zhu Yang representing the Wu dynasty who travelled to Funan in 3rd century. Your culture influenced Thailand in many dimensions but unfortunately that Cambodia claimed everything from us as their own , they looked down Thai ppl as coming late nation cause the Angkor wat in Cambodia territory was existing before Thailand. They even claimed that their civilization was transmitted to India and when your government sent archaeologists team to restore Angkor, Cambodian ppl has negative attitudes to the Indian team. They even claimed that your food Chapati was belong to Cambodia. Everything can trace back to you the origin, everybody in this world know this truth and fact except the arrogant Cambodian.
