Some units have fire alarms, some have door alarms, you can even purchase personal body alarms. Anything to attract attention your way. That area on Pele St is inundated with druggies. Better to be over equipped than not. *cameras, ring doorbells, pepper spray etc*

This is to be used during exteeme situations where its impossible not to do it. If you have a fire alarm inside or outside. Pull it! Yes. It may be an legal offense but if your life is at risk. It may be a good idea. Everyone will rush out from the building to help or at least scare the perpetrator away. Help from fire department may arrive faster too.
