I am so grateful for God during this hurricane. Not only did I already have lots of food before the hurricane warnings I damaged nothing. I didn't even lose my light or water. My family members got it worse. But thank the Lord it wasn't fatal

Sheltering from a hurricane in Jamaica in a home is much safer than in the USA. The homes are made of cinder block, steel and cement and take a long time to build. They are not made of board and paper like in the USA. There are the less unfortunate and poorer folks in Jamaica, who build their houses on their own and use board and zinc to build their houses, those are the ones that will be impacted the most. The most that will happen is the roof might blow off and if you are in flood prone areas then you might be flooded, but that is it.

Exactly! Everyone talks about climate change but what are they, as individuals, doing about it? Everybody's preaching but all the people that have the power to make real progress with things that affect the climate are flying all over the world adding to the problem.

Here from Colorado I think the most disheartening part of this trip was being charged to stay on our resort after they declared a state of emergency! I can see being charged when and after the storm passes, but to be charged almost $400 after being told to shelter in place is sad!

@@kailapinkston1390 first of all like I said I don’t mind paying for any day AFTER TODAY! as I have the insurance but as today was not in my control and THEY gave a notice stating we couldn’t leave the resort DUE TO WEATHER!! i just think comping the first 24 hours would have made sense as NO ONE! could get off the island or get to it! Also No one is here babysitting us. They did give us guidelines to prepare as I’m thankful for That! But to charge $400.00 US DOLLARS IN THE STATE OF EMERGENCY IS CRAZY!

I am praying that a massive spirt of repentance comes over every one in America and Israel !!! the reason for all the storms, for the Hurricanes and for all the wars is because of all the wickedness that people have been allowing to continue to be around us all, we've got to put away the wickedness !!! its not because of global warming !!! this is the judgment of GOD!!!!! Living in a shack in the middle of the Caribbean, and we need to spend trillions on climate change. The climate will continue to change as it has for 4.5 billion years. Spend money on adapting to climate change. Stonger building codes would help immensely, but if you choose to live on an island with a view there is a price to pay.

Explain the physics behind cloud seeding causing a Cat 4 hurricane? No of course you can't because you would rather hide in conspiracy fantasy then face the reality of the world as it is. This is the earliest Cat 4 which was one point a Cat 5 on record in the Atlantic/Caribbean theater. The primary cause is the unusually warm water of the Gulf of Mexico which is a direct result of climate change. Cloud seeding has nothing to do with this hurricane!! That is stupid nonsense!!

Your memory could use an upgrade. The prediction by the NWS for Hurricane Katrina was accurate as its track and strength. Further why compare predictions of a hurricane 19 years ago as if there has been no improvement since then? Hurricane predictions are significantly more accurate since then!
