because it is actually common to have tornadoes in December in the south/dixie alley. look it up. December tornadoes are more common than you think. Even big ones like Mayfield a few years ago and that massive EF-4 that hit the Dallas-Garland area the day after christmas a few years back

Yes! A tornado DID touch down in East Conroe. It spread from Grangerland eastward. All the way down to the 242. The guy saying High winds is so incorrect, it was definitely a tornado!!

Because wind damage is obvious, but it's not always obvious what caused it. It could be a tornado or straight-line winds. It has to be surveyed to be confirmed.

Why? This is early winter. I've been through this part of Texas many a time. I am from Virginia. My heart goes out to Texas. I've met many people here. I'm in tears. Can't help it. Wished I had the money and even come see folks--just so I can give 'em a big hug. I'm so helpless. This causes me to weep. I'm so sorry I can't help. Then there's so many people going further east. These types of storms at this time of year has been happening since the beginning of recorded history and definitely was happening before.
