Luqman 31:18 وَلَا تُصَعِّرْ خَدَّكَ لِلنَّاسِ وَلَا تَمْشِ فِي الْاَرْضِ مَرَحًا ؕ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ لَا يُحِبُّ كُلَّ مُخْتَالٍ فَخُوْرٍ ۚ And do not turn your cheek [in contempt] toward people[1] and do not walk through the earth exultantly. Indeed, Allāh does not like everyone self-deluded and boastful. لوگوں کے سامنے اپنے گال نہ پھلا[1] اور زمین پر اترا کر نہ چل[2] کسی تکبر کرنے والے شیخی خورے کو اللہ تعالیٰ پسند نہیں فرماتا.

I have a grandmother who always talks nonsense every time she opens her mouth. It's like she doesn't care about the listener, so I've always ignored her. I talked to her about it and she just said she can do whatever she wants. So I decided to ignore her every time she speaks to me. Sometimes, also, when you call somebody out it usually registers to their brain that we're calling them. But for me, it's like, even when she's calling out to me, she's still talking to herself. Like, the words come out of her mouth calling out my name but she's actually only talking to herself. It's frustrating, I don't know where to set the line where ignoring her or responding to her. Since she's so confusing, and likes not talking to an actual human being.

You shouldn't ignore her. Same thing is happening with my grand father and i observed something the more you ignore them the more they become angry and vicious they just want your attention and not only just attention but happiness i mean everyone in my house ignore them as a result they behave veryyyy rudely to them but when i and my czns sit with them talk to them ask then about them how they escaped india( in subcontinent war or whatever you name it) they just want your attention smile in front of them and if they scold you don't laugh at them or treat them like outcast listen to them and if they scold you agree with them if it's right and say sorry and smile softy that's it. I experimented it

Exactly same thing is happening with my grand father and she cares about you. You just don't know. Let me tell you a story once my grandmother and aunt e. T. C left him(my grand father) alone in a room he's a very elderly man he literally came upstairs and said to my father look what they're doing to me. And literally he inquired are they okay and my father told them they're in another room and he replied don't tell them i inquired about them otherwise they'll taunt me. They care. They do you just don't know.
