RedCat has released a flat skid plate recently...bundled with a battery tray. Maybe you can give that a shot. The climb sections at the 8:00 and 23:00 mark are awesome.

Thank you! It was hard, because I'm still running the stock motor and the drag break wasn't working too well. I think some of my epa got messed up. Happy Thanksgiving!

I think your truck did great!!! Yes the international scout 2 is an awesome truck as i have three of them one is the gen 8 axe edition i extended the wheel base raised the shocks and greased all gears. it's much quieter and runs smooth i also have the gen 7 pro sport. I just need to find more places to crawl!!!!

Yeah man! Definitely more capable than I expected! Now it's just that big body, but it's going to stay. It just looks really good on a Gen8.

Nice crawling vid's as usual👌 How do you feel it compares to the modified element chassis you run?
@RevolutionX
@RevolutionX 5 жыл бұрын
The Element still crawls everything more easily than the Gen8. Part of it is the body of the Gen8 which is huge, but the other part is that the Element is very nimble. The steering is better, and the overdrive helps.

The first thing I'd change out are the tires and foams, or at least the foams if you want to run the tires. Then the next is the free steering mod in my Gen8 section. Just need to change the rod ends to angled ones. If you want to put a little money into it, I'd get the Hobbywing 1080 esc, a better brushed motor like the Holmes Hobbies Trailmaster sport or Crawlmaster sport motors. Then I'd look into getting all the updated RedCat Gen8 parts that they made after feedback from customers (updated CV Axles, updated axle housings, flat skid plate). You can also swap out the velcro for magnets as well. Other than that, have fun! It's a good rig.

Nice Run Great Truck! I always find humor in the Various Scale truck Comparisons, Thats like comparing a Jeep too a Chevy, Both great in their own rights, but vastly different when wheeling. Would you mind sharing how you cleared your windows?? They seem SO clear!

nice place to play RC! buttheway: how much S your battery? and how C rate the batt?thanks
@RevolutionX
@RevolutionX 4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching! Yeah the location is fantastic. I usually run 3S for my crawlers. I've been using around 3300mah to 3700mah sizes, which keeps it lighter than bigger packs, and gives you a runtime of about 2-3 hours depending on how you drive. I believe the C ratings range from 35-75.

This looks like it performs pretty well (in the hands of a very talented driver of course) but the new Redcat gen 8 will change rc crawling forever, being the first brushless rtr crawler.
@RevolutionX
@RevolutionX 5 жыл бұрын
I've actually got a Hobbywing AXE going into my Axial Capra right now, but I'm always going to prefer 5 slot brushed motors for the smooth low speed control for crawling. I prefer kits most of the time, but the new Gen8 AXE version is very intriguing for sure.
@xanderradlicz5274
@xanderradlicz5274 5 жыл бұрын
REVolutionX interesting, funny how the new Holmes hobbies crawlmaster sport motors are so cheap also. I’m looking forward to see your Capra, I’ve been following the build and I wonder how it will compare to your element enduro. I’ve always been a kit kind of guy as well, but come on, if the new gen 8 axe is priced at $450-$500, you can’t build a crawler with those specs for that price. Not to mention the scale body AND interior also... Anyways man keep up the good content, it’s very enjoyable to watch.
@RevolutionX
@RevolutionX 5 жыл бұрын
@@xanderradlicz5274 That's what I'm not sure about yet. The price. Rumors anywhere from $450-600. If it is $450, I will buy 2 right off the bat and hijack the electronics! Even at $500 even. I'd keep one of the new Gen8 rigs and sell the other as a roller!
@xanderradlicz5274

Im debating between gen8 and rc4wd tf2.. what would you recommend?
@RevolutionX
@RevolutionX 4 жыл бұрын
It really depends on what you want to do. If your purpose is to have a truck that looks as scale as possible then you probably want the RC4WD TF2. If your purpose is to have a rig with more options geared towards just performance out on the rocks, then I would go for the gen8 or other rigs like it. Personally, when I really want to tackle hard lines, I'm always grabbing my Element Enduro as that is my best performing scale truck rig.
